looks cool, but seems like it would slip out of your fingers too easily.

sorry for the crappy drawing on pink paper, but this just came to me.

know would be set for 46-48mm loft, based on the 22mm knot being offered.

contour lines like the behive would run horizontal on the top and bottom sections and be angled (if possible) but left smooth in the middle ring portion, where fingers would rest.

bottom edges would be rounded slightly, like the Simpson Eagle

bottom/base would be inverted slightly, similar to Rod Neep brushes (I think he does this)

After looking at my poor paint drawing i realized it looked nothing like what I wanted it to. So i found a few images that give a better idea of what I was going after.

I still think this would be an awesome unique brush that would really comfortable to use.

Some of these are awsome. Keep in mind I am turning them on a lathe so some designs are not possible.

Sorry for the multiple posts but if your turning them on a lathe something like this would prob be more doable.

Instead of my single sided gun handle idea more of a dual sided/round idea.

I've always wanted a rook-inspired brush, as well. Here's my attempt at a Photoshop mockup.

I think it would look great in the black/white swirl pattern that you have. I think the knot would need to be set just below the notches in the "crown", so that you can't see the base of the knot through the notches. However, seeing the badger hair in those small cutouts would be really cool, if you ask me.

You guys copying my rook idea are just a bunch of dopplegangers, man! Ha! If you want a plain old rook brush, you could just get go down to the park, knock over one of the old men playing chess, and steal one of the rooks. From there, it's just a matter of drilling out the top, gluing in a TGN knot, and letting the glue dry while you wait for someone to post bail on your sorry butt.

You know though, this whole thing is making me wanna order a custom brush now. Hey! Wait a minute... what's really going on?

Since I have to choose 1. I will go with the Guinness Glass
    I have two ideas:

#1 In Black - Iconic shape with the brush coming out serving as the head.

I had a slow day at work today and came up with a new brush that I like better than the last one I submitted (so I'll withdraw that as my entry for this one). It's a mix of a the old rubberset brushes with the long handles and a nod to the forum that keeps on giving....

This is something I've had kicking around in my head. It's pretty much my favorite brush staked on top of my second favorite brush, and I think it works. I've been thinking about a taller brush, and in my imagination, this one fits my hand perfectly. I made it gray for the picture, but I think it would probably look best in that swirly black.

Also, I love the Guiness glass.
