Default What straight razor do you miss?

For me it is a Macdonald & Co., I know it is not a well known razor but it was a great shaver. It had San Francisco written on it. It is the only razor I've seen that was most likely from my home state.

So what straight razor do you miss because you lost, sold or gave it away?

You really want to know Noah. I miss the one I sold you. The one you just scaled. I know it is in good hands though. That blade is very nice.

I miss my first straight I ever put to my throat. I snapped in half trying to bend the warp out of it :(

I had a nice razor called an Atoya deLux. It was basically a re-badged Gotta 120. That was a nice shaver. Ah well, it went to a good home, and there are plenty of other fish in the sea.

It's hard to miss razors when you have so many that work well.

I probably should have kept my first SR that I learned with. But it went to another newbie. The circle of life.

So far I've only sold a few that I didn't like.
But for whatever reason, I don't have an AD with straights.
I have 3 and I've got another one coming in the mail that needs a massive refurb.

Maybe I'll sell one so I can regret it....

    Good answer Doc.

Noah, I have a few blades marked from San Francisco. I'll PM you first if I ever decide to part with one of them.

Pay Heed to this generous offer Noah, I was able to purchase one of these earlier from David, and quite frankly it may well be the finest shaver i own, takes a phenomenal edge and it is truly an elegantly finished razor. thanks again to you David.

One of the first razors I ever did. A Jos. Elliot, custom scales, spine work, mirror finish. You couldn't tell what it was when I started. Rust so bad I had to remove the mark. Haven't sold one of my personal razors since.

Hey Ian. Glad to see you around again. With a screen name like yours you needed that razor more than me, lol.

Some wonder when I mention I'm 2/3 straight and 1/3 DE!
(Not that there's anything WRONG with that!)
