Dalan d'men Cool Shaving Cream

I pulled the trigger on this cream from bestshave.net. It's a turkish cream and I had nothing to lose but a few dollars. I've used it a few times now and am pretty impressed by its performance. The smell is a combination of light menthol, Ivory soap, and the "essence" of Arko. The texture of the actual cream is thicker than that of the Arko and Derby creams.
I used a dollop size drop for each of my shaves (first using a Turkish #6 brush and the Van Der Hagen badger brush) and I noticed that I needed a little more water to get the right texture of lather.
I was impressed at the slickness and thickness of the lather. I got 3+ passes out of the cream and when I squezzed off the remaining lather for the final pass it was as good as my other creams that cost $15+. It's a keeper.

You can have a debate about the scents but their performance are not bad at all.

I have used three of the creams. They are pedestrian creams but they get the job done.

I have a tube of the sensitive and I like it very much. That and Derby Lemon are fine preformers in my book.

I have tried 2 of the Dalan creams,great shaves and pleasant scent.

I like that, "pedestrian creams." It's true. But it's nice to try the cheap alternatives for variety.

I tried all three varieties about a year and a half back, when ShaveABuck was first selling them. Good performance, and a scent that I find reminiscent of "fruit stripe gum".

As I recall, all three varieties (Cool, Sensitive, Energetic) have the same scent.

At least one of the creams had menthol in it, but had no detectable cooling effect.

I used a tube of Energetic last year and thought its performance was fine, pedestrian or not.

It's a shame that he no longer seems to carry them, and the Verguilde Hand soap as well. They seem to talk about that soap all the time now on TSD and no one carries it.
