Default Using EDT/EDP as fragrance for homemade aftershave?

I've been toying with the idea of using my existing EDTs/EDPs to make "homemade" AS splashes. I just want a splash that is mildly fragranced that won't conflict with the fragrance I will wear.

I'm just wondering the feasibility on using EDTs as the fragrance source. A few additional questions:

    1. Since ETD/EDPs are alcohol based, should that figure into the ratio of alcohol/witch hazel/water I use in the total mix?
    2. I read a few homemade AS threads and everyone mentions using vodka (or some high proof grain alcohol). Is there a reason to use vodka/everclear instead of over-the-counter 70% isoproyl alcohol?

    Thanks!

I guess you could do it, but why not use a scent neutral AS and follow that up with your regular fragrance?

I haven't found any truly neutral AS splashes. The closest I've ever found was Spieck, and even that has a light citrus scent.

I tried straight up witch-hazel, but didn't like the scent so would like to use some fragrance masking.
