I'm in the camp that uses some pressure while stropping. I also don't try and pull the strop out of the wall with tension, a tad bit of slack doesn't hurt a thing imo.

I'm of the opinion that rolling the edge, if it does happen, does not come from using pressure or leaving some slack but from tilting the razor such that it runs along the edge of the strop. Remember, the same amount of force is being applied, but in that situation, the area is much smaller, so rolling is actually more realistically possible because of the increase pressure (force per area). But, as long as you don't mess up like that, I think there's a greater risk of not effectively stropping from using too little pressure.
Yeah - pretty feckless. Strange though, but haven't I seen that tunic somewhere before? . Deja Vu or something....
