Default Pipe PIF. For newbie or someone wanting to try restoration

I've been clearing out my pipe collection over the last week and found a couple pipes not worth trying to sell. This one is perfectly smokable and in not terrible condition. Would be great for someone wanting to try pipe smoking wanting to mess around with polishing and whatnot. I know a lot of people like cobs as first pipes, and to some degree I agree with that, but I always kinda hated cobs. The look, the cheap acrylic stem, just about everything. They are dirt cheap and smokable, other than that I have nothing but bad things to say. All that said I don't have as much time or experience in them as most people in the Brown Leaf, only about 1 1/2 years, so take my cob tirade with a grain of salt.... Back to the pipe. It has no maker mark on it, just the imported briar stamp. It has been smoked, but God only knows how long ago that was. Bought it in a lot on the bay probably a year ago and it just sat in my drawer not touched since then. I did clean it yesterday pretty well, so it can be loaded and smoked as soon as the winner gets it. It's a nice little pipe and a good beginners briar in my opinion.

The rules! ... idk. post and let me know if you want in the drawing or not. I'll write them all out and pick a winner out of the hat sunday morning at noon eastern time. I'd would like winner to let everyone know how their first smoke/polish went. My biggest goal here is expanding the Brown Leaf forum a bit. I don't see PIF's here often so this might help.

The pipe is actually a little bit lighter in color than the picture, best my phone can do. Measurements: 5.25" long, chamber is .75" wide 1.25" deep.

Don't count me in. I just wanted to say this is a great PIF. I started with cobs, and while great smokers, they do lack something in feel. A solid briar costs at least $50 so this is an awesome way to get into pipe smoking.

Also just wanted to say, that's a very nice gesture. Not putting my name in either.

As much as I would like to be in, don't count me in. I've benefited from many PIF's here on B&B and I would just love to see this go to someone new to the pipe arena. Great PIF and best wishes to the owner. This pipe has the charm of being a great smoker.

You sure you don't want to be in? I've pulled all the pipes I had on the bay that didn't have bids, got something like 10 more that I'm going to pif.

Nice, won't take much to make that one look like new again, I have plenty of pipes but this is very cool of you, good way for the "noobs" to get a pipe.

I haven't ordered a briar yet, still doing the corn cob thing. I would like to be included, if possible.
