    Default facial exfoliators

I've used kiehls, jack black and gillette thermal fusion. I love using this prior to a shave a few times a week. In trying to keep expenses down, is there any difference between the options out there? I know Nivea and Neutrogena have them too at lower prices than Kiehls. thanks

How do you lather and shave? I find that for me, face lathering with a boar brush exfoliates all that I need.

I don't use one anymore, but the one by Nivea is good. I also like Zirh's Scrub, but it's more expensive.

Most dermatologists recommend that if you're going to scrub, you should just use a washcloth. You can vary the pressure and considering that, it can be gentler or more abrasive than a scrub.

I love the BullDog scrub. It uses ground up coconut shells. Very nice and only $10 on the rainforest

I'vebeen using Every Man Jack's pre-shave scrub for past few weeks. It works well (as intended) and smells alright. Cheaper than most too I believe. (compared to L'oreal Men)

+1 for Bulldog. That's what I'm currently using. But only because I found it at a local store and was curious. If they stop carrying that brand I would try something else. I find that a scrub is good to use once a week. So, I wouldn't go out of my way to order one online unless there was a good deal on it. I don't scrub before a shave though. I hear the Burt's Bees stuff is pretty good, too.

I like Nivea pre shave scrub, jack black face buff, and most of all Baxter of California face scrub.

Nivea is decent for the price. If you have a boar brush, or a pure badger, then face lathering it with some cheap soap (Arko, Williams, VdH) will exfoliate it just as well.

I bought a container of Shiseido Men Deep Cleansing Scrub, it was expensive but has lasted 3 years. Just use it once a week, amazing stuff. Shiseido is a luxury Japanese brand I believe, anyway it is the bet stuff I have ever seen.

I like the body shop products. The Mango Body Scrub is brilliant. It might be a bit too rough for some, but for me it is fantastic.

Check the 'beauty' aisle at Marshals and TJ Maxx. I've found this as a good starting point to find good products at a lower price, my latest score.. ZIRH facial scrub for $6.00 regularly 15.00+

Dove soaps work well for exfoliating in the shower..use a ShamWow cloth..I have oily skin and this combo works well for me

I found a facial brush at dollar tree for $1....cheap and easy to use. You can also use something like a buf-puf to clean your face. There are lots of inexpensive exfoliators out there....check out the marts and the dollar stores.

I have found the NIVEA face scrub actually gives me alot of irritation almost like a chem burn. Currently looking for a facial scrub I can use on the day's I don't shave.

Classic Shave sells something called an Agave Fiber Wash Cloth for $5.
Works very well - been using it for months.

I read that you should use a cloth or loofah, so I walked into Body Shop and the assistant convinced me to buy a face loofah (below). It's a bit like scrubbing your face with sandpaper, leaves the face a bit red afterwards, but feeling very soft.... I use it every second day with a non-scented, non-shaving specific facial cleanser. I'll use it until someone tells me it's a bad idea.

This has replaced the Clinique scrub I used to use...it's cheaper, I get more and it works better. I ordered it from WCS to hit the free shipping mark :)

Unless he's exfoliating his whole face I guess.

I give a +1 to Jack Black Face Scrub, I love it.
