Default Gillette 7 o'clock Super Platinum Blues - CZECH? Keep or return?

So I bought 100 7 o clock super platinum blue blades on amazon

The description stated they were St. Petersburg production, when I received today, they were actually CZECH... I have also received INDIA ones from another trade on here....

My only experience in them is the Russian ones, which for me shave great!

Anyone have a comparison thread or used these with good results?

Can anyone convince me to keep them? I hate to try them and then not be able to return, I feel like if the description said St. Petersburg, that is what I should have got!

I have used a few Czech Gillette blades (Astra SS and Nacet) and found them to be a lot better than the current Russian ones. YMMV but those NOS blades you got are worth a try imo!
I must to the barber's, monsieur, for methinks I am marvellous hairy about the face

Thanks for the info, I read a few other places that people prefer the CZECH, we shall see

I emailed for my options, and emailed another seller for a few more bucks to see if they could verify... I will try one, if the seller refuses to return after that, I'll sell them here =]

I don't know about the Czech version, but the Indian version is highly regarded, so don't sweat it.

I've used the Czech 7 o'clocks and Nacets and thought they were excellent too. Unfortunately I've used every Russian 7 o'clock except the blues (ok yellows and greens) so can't tell you how the two blues compare against each other. The blade the Czech blues remind me of most, are the old 1970s Gillette Platinum Plus blades, which is no bad thing.

It's really easy to believe someone when they tell you exactly what you want to hear.

I am glad you like them and I am looking forward to your side by side review. I still have a few Czech Nacets that I only use once a year or so but those are really nice and I am certainly not happy that their production went to Russia!

Cheers, great info. It's always a bit of a crapshoot of what you get.

I am looking for 7 O'clock blues now. How do you know where they come from before buying them?

I put in an order for 100 blades from Amazon/ImpossibleDiscounts. Assume they'll be Czech and looking forward to trying them.

If the India blades are the black 7 o'clocks, you might like them. I quit my blade search after trying these. The only bummer is they cost $50/100 - ouch! If you don't like them pm me and I'll trade you something for them.

Just got 100 from them actually, great price. Mine are Czechs. Luck of the draw as the sample pack I tried first happened to be Czech too. I thought they were all Russian, I guess I lucked out.

I too ended up with a 100 of the Czech 7 O'Clock blues. I noticed that Impossible Discounts now seems to be out of them, and the price from Wishstar has increased. Apparently, this board has the power to move markets!
