Default WHOOOWEE! My wife asked for some shaving cream..

t's not often she ask for any of my stuff and just recently has taken & interest in my shaving gear. First it was the Schick razor she borrowed then the Tobs rose. So faster than the mythical Flash Gordon or Superman I was there with my Parker Silvertip brush in hand with a tub of Tcheon Fung Sing Bergmonte Neroli soap. In the shower fully clother ready for duty! She had a good laugh with that. So I'll just say that soap did NOT dissapoint when copius amounts of water was available. It turned into a Lather monster! POOF! It wasn't just that fluffy kind of lather either, but some solid slickness you get from inside of the brush too. Just kept wetting the brush & reloading. Man this is an amazing soap. Unfortunately, she used the Mach 3 which had to be rinsed a lot. My offer of the shick was turned down or rather a rain check for the next time. Anyhow, I'd like to get her some latherless creams. Any suggestions Gent's? Oh, and of course I HAD to go shave now too

My significant other was trying Cremo Cream (regular not Ladies, we both hate coconut perfume smell)

    e.g.:
    http://www.leesrazors.com/products/Cremo-Cream.html
    http://www.leesrazors.com/products/L...ing-Cream.html

and she loves it. I wasn't particularly crazy about the brush less thing, so it was just somewhere in the back of soap den.
But as you know already, I'm a brush nerd.

On the side a tip for a razor : the TTO types are easier to wash out for that sort of hair ( e.g. Feather Popular). Regular DE's also tend to clog.

Thank you Icebear. I can research it just fine but first hand experience is what I was looking for. Much obliged.

I'm thinking any of the KissMyFace creams will do. They have some great scents there as well. Check them out

Congratulations! I've been trying to get my SO to get into the DE shaving. She SAYS she likes it, but seems the brush is never wet, doesn't ask how to change the blades, etc. Still finding a stockpile of disposables in her bathroom, and had the nerve to come home with another package of the darn things! There's still a Wilkinson Classic razor in the package (easiest DE to use, IMO) laying around. ...might have to take it back. :-)

Anyway, it looks like she broke into the Burt's Bees shaving cream (brushless). It says it's for men, but it looks like she likes it so far. You might want to give it a try. If you have a Big Lots nearby, sometimes you can find some shaving creams and lady-type soaps there on the cheap...

I am a huge fan of TFS products myself.
    Eric has contacted me Friday about 2 new soaps. It will be handmade exclusive soaps, like the Neroli and Tabacco;
"Sandalo Boise" and "Cuore di lavanda".
I cannot wait to get my hands on them, oh boy oh boy!

I recently purchased Stephan Stay Smooth Conditioning Shave Cream, it's Latherless and doesn't require a brush, contains Lanolin, Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter & Mineral Oil, and provides a comfortable "coating" for the shave. The scent is a pleasant, mild Cocoa butter and my face is very moisturized afterwards, it comes in a 16oz tub, you can also pick up a multitude of Pinaud & Master Aftershaves, Hair Tonics & Shampoos which are reasonably priced. Shipping is a Flat-Rate of $10.00, so adding a few additional items is recommended; http://www.appletonbarbersupply.com/...exd.asp?id=746

Only experience I've (well my SO) has it was the KMF. Not much variety around these parts and found some in the Kroger organic area. She loves the cream as far as slickness, but she said it is very drying. Oh well, she has 1000 different lotions anyways, I told her it was just an excuse to use them more often. I'm shooting for her to start using a DE by end of summer. Short term goal, better soap, Long term goal, full wet shaving.

I am getting ready to place an order this week and am getting my wife the Belle Lucce body wash that they actually promote as a shave soap/cream. It comes in 4 scents. Will let you know how she likes it when it gets here. As a side note, Savon du Midi is the deal of the week on Royal Shave. It is marked down to $15 from $21. I will be ordering some of that as well and posting some feedback since it hasn't been evaluated in a while on the board.

I started back with the brush a few months ago but before my re-conversion i was using a Roffler brushless cream that i would buy from my barber. It is very light scented and contains mink oil so it was very forgiving and i could make several passes with the Fusion and Trac II blades with no irritation.
