Just received my T&H Spanish Leather. I knew what this was going to smell like from getting the T&H sampler pack a couple months ago. This will be a nice fall/winter one. I don't typically like "leather scents" so I'm not so sure how authentic the leather is in this one..... I think I pick up more vanilla than anything.... but it's my favorite of all the T&H scents with Grafton not too far behind. IMHO this Spanish Leather is way better than Trumper's, but that may be because Trumper's is a more authentic leather. The drydown on Trumper's just smells rancid and sickly to me. I haven't ordered much T&H stuff because I've had bad reactions to their AS balms, but I think that's the lanolin in them, so I'm not too scared of ordering their colognes, creams and AS splashes. The T&H creams in my sampler pack all performed wonderfully though. Anyway, I probably won't use this one too much until next fall.... but I will have to try it out a few times just to see how the AS feels.

Used the T&H Spanish Leather AS splash last night after my shave. It was a cool day and evening so the scent seemed appropriate. A very warm and soothing scent. When I think of the smell of leather I always remember the story that was told of my uncle when he was about 3 years old. My grandmother was driving an old car with my uncle in the backseat. I don't know the make, model or year of the car but this would have been back in the 1940's and the car had "suicide doors" on the back. Anyway, my uncle went to roll down the window and he grabbed the handle to open the door instead of the window crank and the wind caught the door and flung it open and took him with it. He tumbled out of the car and split his head open pretty good. My grandmother took him to the local country doctor and he stitched his head up. In the meantime, they got a hold of my grandpa and he rushed over to the doctor's office (it was a different time.... before child proof door locks, children's car seats, out in the country with no emergency room, no cell phones.... etc.). My uncle always tells of laying in the doctor's office scared and worried, but his worry subsided when he could tell that my grandpa arrived because he could smell the leather of the coat he was wearing. Anyway, I always think of that story when I smell something like the scent of leather. Good stuff.

Nice update MC. I'd love to hear about liv2ryd's experiences with his 35+ AS's if you have the time to type it out.

Got my Floid Vigoroso, Floid Suave, Provence Sante Green Tea and Speick splashes yesterday. I couldn't tell much difference in the scent of the Floid splashes from the bottles. I could see how the Vigoroso is described as being a stronger version of the Suave (or the Suave described as a more subtle version of the Vigoroso). The Floid scents are unique in a way.... nothing spectacular IMO but I could see how they could grow on you. I have not applied either yet so it will be interesting to see how they perform on my skin.

I used the Provence Sante Green Tea splash this morning. No burn whatsoever. I don't think it has any alcohol in it but I'd have to double check the label. It does have witch hazel, aloe and caffiene (which I guess is good??) in it though. I like the scent as it fades quickly and is fairly subtle. I wore Creed Silver Mountain Water cologne after applying the splash since green tea is one of the heart notes of Creed SMW I believe. They seem to go well together at any rate. There is an edt of the Provence Sante Green Tea scent as well but I don't know if I will ever get it since I did not find the scent overly interesting or unique.

The Speick is one that I think I will get the edt of though. I love the scent of the AS lotion. I will probably get the balm someday as well. I haven't tried the Speick on my skin yet either though.

Well, I've received everything I've ordered. Now I just have to enjoy them. I definitely have plenty of splashes to last me a very long time but it will be interesting to see which ones I reach for the most over the coming months.

Well, it's been an interesting couple of weeks with my ASAD. I haven't posted anything in a while due to computer virus issues.... but that didn't stop me from acquiring more aftershave. Over the last couple of weeks I've purchased the following:

    - Alt Innsbruck aftershave/cologne with atomizer
    - Alt Innsbruck pre/post shave emulsion
    - Acca Kappa White Moss AS splash and balm
    - Acca Kappa Cedar AS splash and balm
    - Italian Floid Blue with atomizer
    - Italian Floid Amber (The Genuine) with atomizer
    - Proraso splash (New Formula in the 400 ml bottle) with atomizer
    - Speick AS balm
    - Irisch Moos AS splash

Getting the bottles of Italian Floid was interesting. I got the Floid Blue first without an atomizer. Great stuff. I prefer the scent of Floid Blue over all of the other ones.... Spanish or Italian. A day or two later I ordered a bottle of the Italian Floid Amber "The Genuine" along with with the big bottle of Proraso and three black atomizers. When the bottle of the amber came I thought that I had received a big bottle of Spanish Floid because the label was in the style of the labels on the Spanish Floid Vigoroso and Suave bottles and it said that it was made in Spain by the Colomer Group. I compared it to the Spanish Floid bottles I have and noticed that the juice was a lighter shade of amber and even though the label was in the same style as the Spanish ones, it still read "The Genuine" on it. Also, the scent was different than the Vigoroso and Suave scents. In looking at the bottle of Italian Floid Blue, I realized that it is actually made in Spain as well (at least according to the label). I guess I just assumed that the Italian Floids were made in Italy. After emailing the vendor and asking him about it, we came to the conclusion that they've updated the Italian Floid Amber (The Genuine) bottle. Who else is aware of this? I don't remember seeing anything mentioned in any posts about it. The vendor assured me though that it was indeed "The Genuine" Italian Floid.... even though the bottle looks more like the Spanish Floid bottle. The Italian Floid Blue is still in the old style bottle that we are all familiar with. I guess I should take a photo and post it.... but I'm lazy right now.

The Alt Innsbruck is very good stuff as well. I actually have 2 bottles of it because the first bottle I got did not have an atomizer and after using it and finding out how great the scent is, but that the bottle didn't come with a shaker style top, Iecided to buy another bottle with an atomizer.... so I won't waste any of it. I'll agree with most people when they say that the scent is a very linear tobacco scent.... but that it is a wonderful scent that lingers for hours. I wore it as a cologne yesterday to work.

The Irisch Moos is a great scent as well. I have more bottles of the AS splash, balsam, shave soap stick and the edt coming in a shipment next week. I got a small bottle of the AS splash to start out with just to see if I would like the scent. It passed the nose test with flying colors. I'm excited to get the balsam and edt now.

Well, who knows when the ASAD insanity will lead me... I still feel it.... I just enjoy trying all of this stuff and right now I can't get enough of it.

Quite a collection, it will be interesting to see what you settle on as favorites over time. I've pretty much stuck with drug store brands, but want to add to it and have been debating many of the ones you have - Speick, Irisch Moos, Musgo, DRH Marlborough, Alt Innsbruck. Guess I haven't learned the B&B motto of "when in doubt, buy both!" Please keep updating!

The insanity/obsession continues.... I have more that I am waiting to be delivered next week sometime. I haven't even had time to try all of these yet. I am really enjoying the La Toja products right now (both the shave creams and the aftershaves). The aftershaves scent reminds me of Mugso Real a bit.... but the splash is much lighter.... better for summer. My face has never felt so soft as after a La Toja shave. My goodness..... to think this all happened over the course of a few months. I can't explain it. It takes quite a bit of sacrifice in the way of food and gasoline.... but it can be done. Well, I haven't starved to death..... and I can't say that I've missed all the places that I haven't gone so.....

Who can explain a disorder? It is what it is.

Nice collection! Also thank you for not making feel so weird about the 2 dozen or so after shaves I've acquired myself in the last 6 months! Enjoy!

Thanks, I'll let you know. So far there isn't anything that I completely hate..... but I suppose in time I will find the ones that I enjoy the most and will probably not make second buys of the other ones. I've got a half of dozen deliveries coming this week.... including the Floid AS Balsam, Irisch Moos AS Balsam, Crown Shaving Co. Soothing AS Balm..... to name a few. I also have a couple T&H splashes (Grafton and Trafalger) on the way. I'll probably take another photo of all the stuff I get this week at the end of the week and post again.

Thanks!! I'm sure my collection pales in comparison to the collections of many of the veteran wet-shavers here on B&B, but I suppose what is amazing about mine so far is the time frame in which I've acquired all of these...... just a few months. I guess you could say the I've got SCAD as well given the number of creams I currently have now.... but my ASAD is much worse.

    Just received today:

    - Irisch Moos AS Splash (100 ml)
    - Irisch Moos AS Balsam (100 ml)
    - Floid AS Balsam (125 ml)
    - T&H Grafton AS Splash (100 ml)
    - T&H Trafalgar AS Splash (100 ml)
    - Crown Shaving Co. Soothing AS Lotion (120 ml)

I'll try to followup with pictures later. The T&H splashes were on sale so I got a good deal on them but I mostly got them for the scent because there is not much to them in the way of soothing ingredients for the skin (water, alcohol, parfum, and coloring basically). The Crown Shaving Co. AS on the other hand has an all-star list of ingredients (aloe, coconut oil, jojoba oil, glycerin, witch hazel, vitamin E, rosemary). It is not a heavy balm.... but not as runny as a milk or liquid cream. I can barely detect any scent from it as well.

What, no vintage Avon aftershave? You can often find bottles at antique stores and thrift shops for $1-$2. Great juice for a great price! Lots of great scents to choose from too!
