    Default Wee little thing

So I found a 3/8 hjeilstad (sp) for 18$. Looks like a wee little lass of a thing. Nice blade no chips or cracks. The scales are very thin compared to the other straights there. I picked up another razor that I will post later. A 5/8 Eclipse from the Modern Supply Co in Rockford IL. Both are in good shape.
My question would be what would the value be of the hjeilstad (sp) 3/8 because it looks like the very thin scales are ivory. They don't appear to be bakelite or bone. There are subtle color variations and no pours and like I said... Thin. She was cute but too small for me.

So I went back for the C.V. Heljestrand. She is tiny and I'm now sure that the scales are bakelite or such. I'm pretty stoked about the buy. I've not had a Swedish razor yet and now my first is such a wee thing. The last picture shows it next to my 5/8 Eclipse from the Modern Supply Co. The vacation was fun and I came home with some great shavers. Both are sharp but the Eclipse needs to hit the hone before I try it. I won't play with the Heljestrand yet.

Does anyone have any info on Heljestrand's history?

It looks like fun. Thanks for the link. I think I did well. The one I picked up it in great shape and is the #29 series. I might just hit the hone and give it a wirl.

Yes, might... did... done... . Very fun afternoon. SWMBO was rolling her eyes all day. I honed out 4 razors and shave tested them all. Yes, I shaved 4 times on Sunday.

I have a 3/8 Fillarmonica that I use for trimming around my moustache. I love it. Nothing wrong with a small razor. Good for getting into tight spaces.
I didn't surrender, they made my horse surrender though.
