I am 30. I do not like the old timer scents.

I'm under 35 and I tend to embrace the older scents. Sparks nostalgia for me. Clubman (takes me back to the trips to the barbershop with my dad everytime), Brut, AV, and Tabac stay in heavy rotation

I'm 32 and would use SOME of the old scents if my wife liked them. I'm still looking for one that is "old man" that she doesn't consider "old man". I like old spice but I'm allergic. I don't like the standard pinaud clubman. I don't like aqua velva or brut in the bottle but I haven't actually tried them on. I DO like old spice but I'm allergic to it. I REALLY want to get a good bay rum scent but I haven't found one that my wife would allow. I like the barbasol scent but really have no use for the stuff.

32 and I use clubman. It reminds me of the old school barbershop I used when I was a teenager. I'm thinking of trying aqua velva since my father used/still uses it. I remember him and I putting it on when I was 3-6, but I can't recall what it smells like. May bring back some memories.
My wife says the bay rum I use smells like her grandpa.

I'm 33 and generally once a week I'm in an Old Spice mood and go the whole nine yards with soap, AS, and cologne. The rest of the time I'll use Clubman as an AS...very rarely I'll skip AS. As far a smelling like an "old man"...nope haven't gotten that comment. I have been complimented a few times whilst wearing Old Spice and a handful of times with Clubman.

32 here. I use Brute, Old Spice, Wildroot for my hair when I decide to not shave my head. Pinaud and so on, love old school stuff it is far better in many aspects than any thing new school. I got a late 59 Gillette Fatboy DE adjustable too, sweet razor in original case.

29 here. I've used all of those products at one time or another. Right now, I'm really loving clubman

27 and I don't use any of them. I'm not a huge fan of the scents. I like a nice clean sterile scent. They should make Simple Green shave soap :P

I'm 29, and Clubman is my go to aftershave. I am also a fan of Old Spice. I like Aqua Velva but haven't used it in years, I just don't have any currently. I occasionally use "newer" scents, polo black I a favorite cologne of mine and I like the Burt's bees after shave balm. But for some reason the classics just make me feel proper manly. my grandfather was an old spice man, and i don't see anything wrong with being compared to him.

At first my girlfriend was not 100% sold on the clubman, but I reminded her that Rhett Butler, being the epitome of a desirable man in her opinion, would have worn something similar. I think at this point she quite likes it as I have been using it regularly for several months. She certainly never complains that I smell bad. :)

I am so surprised there are this many young guys my age on this forum. When I think of traditional wet shaving, especially hearing people talk about their expert techniques and experience with stuff, I always picture much older guys.

Yep! I'm 23, and I use Old Spice aftershave fairly often, and Aqua Velva from time to time. Clubman gives me headaches, so I tend to stay away from that though. I don't wear Brut, I've never particularly cared for this scent.

I'm 20. I can't say I'm a huge fan of any of the classics I've tried so far save for AV Ice Blue. It's not a bad scent at all. I much prefer Brut Attitude that I get at Wally's. It has a nice, aquatic scent. My other go to splash is the Nivea Energy splash.

I tried Clubman and AV Musk and I really an not a fan at all. I haven't had a chance to try any Old Spice gear. I will have to look into that

Wow 15 yrs old and going Old School! I have to ask why or what got you interested in Traditional Shaving as most kids and young men don't even give shaving a second thought.

its just something i do to stray from the "pack". its a nice throw back to the good ol' days and how men used to be.i stumbled across a gillette ss one day and the rest is history. its nice that you responded this way cause usually the reply is " wow i dont think you are able to handle the sharp edges" or " i dont think a 15 year old should be using such dangerous tools".

My usual AS roatation is AV, AV Musk, Clubman, and English Leather. Brut and Old Spice did not agree with my palette. I don't mind the grandpa smell. My wife, in fact, loves it.
Is there a Ralph's around here?
