Leica D-lux 5

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on one of these. Anyone have any experience with them? I know, I know, it's a Panasonic DMC-LX5 with some software upgrades and a red dot for hundreds of dollars more, so don't go there. At my age, this is probably the last camera I will buy (well, even I don't believe that!), and since I can't afford an M9, or even an X1, I'd just like some input from a user to supplement the hours of research I've done online.

I have a Panasonic lx3 and I really like it, if that helps at all. I would definitely buy the lx5 if anything happened to it. I can't see myself paying extra for the red dot, but it will take a nice photo, for sure.

My buddy tried both out at our local camera store, and he went with the Panny and saved some $$$.

I've held both and for my hands they're a bit small, I mainly shoot with a DSLR, but the slightly larger grip on the LX5 is nice.

Also, the D-Lux 6 may be announced at Photokina in Septermber, but that is just speculation.
