Impressive collection. I've never actually counted but I've amassed quite a few soaps and creams. I have maybe 6-7 regulars, a few more that have occasional periods of popularity and a whole bunch more that make rare cameo appearances at the sink.

I just looked over mine. If I were to shave with a new product that I have NOT shaved with yet, and counting samples, and different flavors of the same soap, I could go 43 days and each day use something I haven't shaved with before. If I ignore samples it's down to 20. I have purposefully put up some of the products I buy before using them so I wouldn't have everything open.

Good question. Mostly because I got good deals on the stuff and I'm a sucker for a good deal....like the RR La Famiglia line or the $5 Provence Sante Green Tea or a good opportunity came up like getting two vintage pucks of Williams for $11 delivered from Ebay. Then there are some things I bought as filler, like that stick of Arko in my cabinet. I wouldn't buy that on it's own, but for $2 it was easy to add on to an order. Some of what I haven't used are products I just haven't gotten around to using yet but plan to in the next month or so. I am tempted to go through and use them all at least three times. If there are some that don't do it for me, I can get rid of them.

I definitely get the temptation of a deal. I haven't managed to put anything away unused, though.

So far, I've only used Mystic Water Coconut Lime Verbena. I love Michelle's soaps so much, not only do I always get a great shave, the fragrances are wonderful and my face feels amazing afterwards. I own several Mystic Water soaps and I expect I'll buy a few more for variety. I'm waiting on using the new Proraso Red and all four of the La Famiglia line from Razorock. I have to say, I love the Don Marco scent, I may just break it in tomorrow.

In other words, I won't be committing to any soap for 30 days but might accidentally accomplish the feat with Mystic Water's soaps. Incidentally, I have used her body soap Sunshine for a few months now exclusively and it is amazing. Not what this thread is about but it's a soap that has been used for 60+ days.

Still plodding along. I have been using CF lavender since May 1. Yesterday was the 1st day I really wanted to use something different. It was a muggy day, and I wanted something with menthol- but I held strong. Five more days.

With so many soaps, creams, shaving sticks ( not to mention years worth of Arko), I cannot imagine that I will be doing this challenge in June. For the guys in the "my guess, 3017" thread, my hat's off to you gentlemen. And a big thank you as well. The "to be replaced lists" of some of you was an excuse to buy more stuff.

Hmmm. So using stuff until it's gone inspired you to buy more stuff? I'd say the forums are working properly today!

    Just as it should be!

so now I'm done with my 30 days of Cade (actually 4 weeks - its easier for me to do it by the week). I finished up with a BBS with my Merkur Progress. I did go off track to check out the new Proraso Green for a couple of days. The Cade was great as usual. It was good to get acquainted with an old friend. I would say that I used up just under a third of the puck.

For the next 4 weeks I am planning to use Mama Bears Hinoki Woods. For my razors I'm planning on making it the battle of the heavy weights. First round will be with my Merkur 12c.

2 more days! Doesn't look like the Proraso is going to die in only 2 days. Tossed up between starting something new in June, or killing of the tub. Decisions, decisions...

I'm glad I joined in for May, but I'll be playing the field in June. I may come back after that though. I did get through a lot of samples and I'm glad for that.

Getting through product is a great feeling, but I can certainly appreciate your desire to jump around (I get that same desire every time I open up my inventory spreadsheet).

Only four more shaves on the DRH Lavender and then I can shuffle the deck for awhile. I have both MdC and C&S No 88 new in box, plus all my old friends waiting for Saturday.

I had to swap out to a fresh Feather on Sunday; making it my third blade since 30-Apr. I am due to switch up razors in June as well - it will be the Feather AS going on duty come Saturday and the R89 Rosegold will take some time off.

Now that I look at it, the dent isnt all that big. The puck has become noticeably thinner, but the wear seems pretty even with a shallow depression in the middle. I wont finish the puck by Friday's end of the month long marathon, but I am going to make a once-per-week mandatory usage rule for it to see if I can actually finish a product.

The Vie-Long horsehair, QED select and D01 knot brushes really tear the mickey of out the soap; those big firm brushes whip it up. Although truth be told - I am loading REAL heavy on the puck.

I think that it is to punish it for being "the one" for an entire month

wow gents. this and the other thread have given me a ton of info on new soaps (and others that have been deemed a must have). I'm in for June (although i only have my tub 5.2oz tub of COB(Porasso green)) but maybe this 30 days (month) of a soap will justify a new purchase soon (haven't needed anything but cream since i started out)

So May is done, and my Proraso White tub is not. Knocked out 44 grams over 24 shaves (31 days in May, 6 non-shave days and 1 cheat with a new product). Started at 79 grams without the lid and ended at 35 grams. I've got a good size hole in the bottom, and maybe 7-10 shaves left (I'd know exactly how many if I only knew the weight of the bottom part of the container). Wound up using 1.83 grams/shave average...pretty much the same as my prior month with Cella.

Tonight I'm going to try and figure out what June will bring. I'm thinking of knocking out some RazoRock Fresco, as I have a number of tubs of it, and 1 tub that only has about half remaining (I love the scent of that one). Then again, I'm also thinking about giving Prep a go as a good summer scent (I have both the soap, and the pre-post). Or maybe I'll get away from the Italians for a month and head to France (PdP or PSGT) or England (DR Harris Arlington).

Argh...too many options making Eric a slow boy...

I finished up my Col Conk Amber (cheated a little, and used perhaps the last 5% as hand soap ), and my new product of choice is Muhle Sandalwood Shaving Soap.

I wrote down the exact day I started using it, so I will know one of two things: when my 30 days is up with it, or how many shaves it takes to fully use up a puck.
