I have no Merkurs, just a Gem, several Gillettes, and a few Schicks. I had to use what was available, and chose the Red Tip Super Speed with a Personna Platinum Chrome blade.

I am waiting for delivery of a Mergress I bought on BST. It will be my only Merkur as well as my only ajustable razor.

only Merkur I own is a progress, it's the best razor I've used thus far, the heft, balance and feel, edged out my EJ89.

Merkur 39c long handle slant with a Feather blade
P.160 cream face lathered with a Vie Long 13061 horse hair brush
4711 after shave and 4711 cologne
SSB - LEMS - BOTOC - AOM - KOVT - VSOP - RSVP - BYOB - HTH - ARKO & VEG CHOSEN - YMMV

34 Slant, Merkur blade with I Coloniali cream, Vey custom Badger brush, witch hazel and Floid Vigoroso. Mixed the cream in my new Dirty Bird scuttle. Nice!
