    Default Musgo=redness

Made my face bright red. I've tried it a couple times, and I guess I just can't use the stuff. Bummer, I like the smell & it gives me a great shave.

Anyone else get this from Musgo?

I get the same thing from Musgo Real cream. Turns out that I react to lanolin (no MWF for me!).

Still... I enjoy using the Musgo Real A/S splash.

I also tried the musgo real and didn't care for my results or the irritation that came later. Honestly, i had a tough time getting a decent lather with it on either of my brushes (rooney super 3/1 -- simpons super 2-band polo 10). I just didn't seem to get a good consistency after the usual minute or so of bowl lathering

It's one of my top three favorite creams, but redness and irritation is unfortunately pretty common with this one. It's never bothered me, but the lanolin does seem to effect a lot of users.

It's a bit of a fiddly cream as well. It seems much thirstier to me than any other cream I've used, so getting a good lather with it takes a bit of practice. Once you've got it locked in, though, you couldn't ask for a better performer for the price.

Ok, my bottle of Musgo Real aftershave balsam finally arived. I tried some yesterday and am relieved that there was no redness or burning feeling for me.

The Musgo was light, immediately stopped my razor burn and had a nice, light scent! Its my go-to aftershave now. :)

The Musgo Real after shave splash and balm are both great products and in my regular rotation, especially in the winter. But, I cannot use the cream and that's to bad as I love the way it lathers, smells, and everything else about it. But there is something in it that causes irritation on my face. I don't think it's the lanolin with me as I have no problems with MWF.

The same thing happens to me. Also with the Lavanda cream.

You're not going to believe how long that bottle will last. I have one for over six years.

Musgo Real shave cream seems to cause more people skin problems than most other creams, although I have no problems with it. I would suggest that if you already know that you have sensitive skin, then either pass it by or be prepared for problems.

what's the scent/feel like with Musgo? Is it menthol-y, for example?

I've heard Lanolin can cause some people problems, I was not aware MR shave cream had it. I love the MR GLO soap and was gonna add some of their SC & AS to an order, I will have to give my TS shave cream a couple shaves first before I order the SC. Thanks for the heads up!

I got the same reaction. I was bummed too because I liked the smell and produced great lather. I have used balms with lanolin and not had reactions from them so it may be something else about it.

Really? Is that because you dont use it as often, preferring other balms? Or does it just last a really long time? :)

wow. this is fairly common it seems! If your trying to get rid of the lanolin creams (musgo, lavanda, top secret, o melhor, veleiro) send me a PM. i have a few soaps that dry out my skin but are well liked here! these creams are a godsend to my face and i cant get enough of them!

I agree with this. Just tried Musgo a few weeks ago and it moved right into the top tier of creams I've tried.

Just got my first tube of Musgo today in the mail. I've been wondering about the lanolin thing and whether I'm allergic. I didn't react very well to a couple of T&H aftershave balm samples I got and they have lanolin in them so I've been somewhat avoiding creams that contain it for a while. I just used Lavanda shave cream last night though with no ill effects so I'm hoping it's the same with the Musgo Real cream. Tonight will be my first "All Musgo" shave.
