    Brylcreem

I also enjoy Trumper's Eucris Hair Dressing (it smells like violets, not the Eucris cologne) and Trumper's Floreka. But these are somewhat pricey

#2 buzzcut is my personal favourite.. I hate the way gel feels, and in the heat it starts to melt and run all over the place too.

I always get a #2 up top or finger-length with scissors. But I always run some Crew Forming creme or paul mitchell tea tree shaping creme through. Just gets it separated and sticking up enough. Both also smell really good too, a nice plus.

Lately it's styling paste or wax, they don't flake the way gel seems to. Topped off with Brylcreem for some shine.

I use Gatsby Moving Rubber (Pink container) - http://amzn.to/Jlr6Ju

The purple one is pretty good too, but if you don't know how much to use and not know what you are doing, it'll be a disaster =P

Tres Flores gel. (Or the Clubman, if you can find it) They do well when put on wet hair and then combed through once mostly dry. (for me)

Brylcreem if you have thinner hair.
Groom and Clean if it's on the thicker side.

Groom and Clean is also essentially the exact same product as any other water soluble pomades. (American Crew, etc.)
It just happens to come in a tube and is less than half the price.

I also liked Clubman gel, but only back when my hair was short all around.
It's cheap and available in every Sally's and Walgreens I've ever set foot in.

I have extremely thick hair, and keep my bangs around six to eight inches long with a fast taper to finger length in the back. High and tight all around. Side part, and bring the bangs back.
The weight of my hair will CRUSH just about every product known to man and lay flat.
    But not Groom and Clean.

I buy either Baxter's clay pomade or Mop orange peel molding cream depending on which is in stock at my local drugstore. Both work similarly well for me.

+1 on the above. Groom and Clean is a great product for a well groomed look. Its inexpensive and does not buildup. I wear a retro side parted style and it keeps my hair parted and back and shiny all day, its mostly for a wet look style though.

+1 to axe (never thought i'd write that!), especially the paste. Gives nice texture without being spiky or glued. Can do slicked down without being glossy.

I was using Fudge hair shaper and American Crew Fiber but I received a sample of "filthy muk" and "hard muk". The brand name is muk.
These are so fantastic! The hard muk has super strong hold and I need the absolute smallest bit for it to do it's job.
The filthy muk is strong hold with a slightly gritty finish.
I bought the full tins quite a while ago. I love them both and they last forever!

Pantene Volumizing Gel. I have long, fine hair and this stuff adds welcome volume and texture. I often add a tiny bit of Brylcreem for shine and to help comb out the tangles. Keeps my hair looking good without looking plastered.

i have a tube Brylcreem. i most of the time i keep my hair short enough that i can spike it with almost any product.
