    Default My new toy. :biggrin1:

Here's my new toy I bought today. I got a steal on it. It's a full sized H&K USP9 with tru dot night sights. I once had a USP9 compact and regretted it the day I sold it, so I couldn't pass this one up.

Heckler & Koch are top notch firearms. I've never been disappointed with them and wouldn't hesitate to buy another. I trust my life to them....in fact I do...I have a USPc in .45, on my nightstand every night when I sleep.

Don't let this one get away.

It won't get away this time, I made that mistake once already. Wish it was a compact though, but I have my XD9 subcompact for that.

    Oh those are nice!!!!

I myself am a Smith & Wesson man, but I wouldn't mind an HK in my collection at all!!

Do you do any sort of sport shooting, like IPSC or IDPA?

Nice gun! I bought a HK HK45 2 years ago. I have loved that gun, also has the LEM trigger on it. I'm like you, I would never hesitate to save a little more to get another one. I also love my revolvers though.

GREAT gun! If I ever have to replace my Sig 226, it will probably be with a H&K

I have a M&P9 full size too that I bought to start shooting IDPA last year and I broke my leg a year ago January and I can't really run anymore. There not a better ergonomic gun than those M&P's.

The HK shoots like butta! So easy it almost hits the center of the target on it's own; good craftsmanship.

The only reason I don't own one is because I read on the gun forums if guys are military or police, and they need a guide spring or somthing easy, HK will have it to them in the next 2-3 days. Guys who are not military or police I have heard them waiting 6+ months for the same part.

Now I can understand shipping out parts fast for those in uniform, but that is just plain rude.
I could probably load Tabac on a Q-tip and still get a decent lather

Not to completely derail the thread, but look at getting the Apex trigger kit installed for your M&P. It makes th pull a little bit lighter, and plenty smoother. A must have if you wield an M&P if you ask me!!

I Just aquired my first pistol, I got a Browning BDA-380 from my Father-In-Law for a deal to good to pass up. My understanding is its made by Beretta and is almost equivalent of a Beretta 84, its not big iron - but stunning reviews online and a great place to start (and hopefully get wife shooting and past her phobia). Perhaps I will move to an H&K next ;-)

The USP's are good shooters. And their customer service blows just as much for the military, though they're improving across the board even with civilians.

Todzki, nice piece, one rarely seen anymore. It's not an equivalent of the Beretta 84, it 'is' a Beretta 84, just with a closed-top slide. :) Probably 98% of the parts interchange.

Browning did the same with the Sig P220 early on, as the "Browning Double Action" in .45 ACP.

I used to have that in .45ACP. I had that, another .45, and the bolt of my Browning A Bolt in a lockbox. Someone broke in, stole the box, and the rest of the A Bolt. The cops ended up finding the A Bolt in a drug bust, but the .45s never re-surfaced.
