Thread: Hello!

  1. #1

    Default Hello!

Stumbled across this sight in search of information on what I now know to be a Gillette 501 special set that I found at an antique store. I knew instantly that I would love to add this to my small collection of odds and ends that drives my wife nuts. Little did I know that this is likely still very usable after a new blade and a bit of cleanup. I will be doing a lot of reading in the upcoming weeks and hope to get a nice shave once I feel brave enough. I have always stuck to electric razors in the past, due to irritations from modern cartridge razors and the like, but it appears from what I have read thus far that this little antique could be the solution.

I just may have found a new obsession

Thank you in advance for your help and knowledge!
    Steven

    Welcome to B&B....

Nice first DE find.. Keep an eye out for a Gillette Tech. They were made for a VERY long time so the are plentiful and one of the mildest shavers out in the wild.

All depends where "locally" might be. Here's a link to the Wiki with listings of vendors/stores categorized by location: http://wiki.badgerandblade.com/Categ...ing_by_Country
