How many types of Schick Injector's w/ black handle?

My father in-law is wanting to buy a Schick Injector like he had in the past. All he really remembers is it has a black handle. So I was looking at other threads on Schick Injectors on the B&B and noticed there are lots of lettering schemes. Like A through J or something. And what I read is they give all different kind of shaves.

So can anybody help me with a black handle schick injector. Is there only one version that has a black handle? Thank you for reading

It was an "I" model in 1957, without the rinse lever on it, so not a Hydro Magic type. Both were sold in black for several years, but there was another black one as well, from a later date, with a longer handle. Do a search with Schick and Renaldo to find the best reference to the Schick Injectors.

there is the rarely seen (1935-45) Type E / e5

TYPE J (1955-58) J-34, long black handle silver finish head hydro magic lever.

TYPE N (1980-1998) n-2 plain black handle

TYPE o (1999-2003) intergrated head to heandle/modern type

The Type L had a black handle as well.

Don't forget the lovely Golden 500!

I started shaving using the Schick Type L ... many years ago. (I, also, remember using poorman's Styptic - Toilet Paper!)
