Great news, Emanuel! Let's hope to be also listened by the Henkel Iberica group and finally have the famous Manantiales shaving soap back. Fingers crossed.

Default NEW LEA spanish shaving soap stick with lanolin&tallow added!

    Yes, it's true!

Spanish soap maker Lascaray has just presented a new re-formulated LEA shaving stick with these key ingredients added (and tallow as well!!):

at the same price of old stick: about 1,20-1,60 euros depending on the shop. Some spanish people are testing them and it's very promising! Much better than the old one in scent (stronger, clean and soapy like), foam quality and skin protection! A really good news because until now the old one only sucked compared with La Toja, hehe.

Although these days is difficult to find as production has just started, we hope that in some weeks it will be broadly avalaible in many supermarkets through Spain, as fast as the old stock will finish.

When it arrives to my city, I'll test and comment my impressions, for sure!

    Cheers!
Please, excuse my written English, I'm Spanish and still learning... ;-)

I have a friend who is visiting his daughter in Madrid this past week and is returning home Thursday. I gave him a nice little list of items I wanted including the New LEA shave soap which I included a picture with instruction not to get the old version. He also plans on bringing me back several sticks of La Toja, their Magno Soap, and a few tubes of the La Toja shave cream.

I did not want to load him down with anything liquid, I did ask for some Spanish Olive Oil. He did email me and has gotten most items on the list pretty easily, but he is having some difficulty finding LEA Shave Sticks.

It is tough to bring back all you really want, especially if it's not you who is bringing it back...but whatever you get,it will be great stuff,Spain has nice quality shave goods.

New LEA stick is still hard to find, but some mates from Madrid told me that in "El Corte Ingles" mall in "La Castellana" street have some. Good luck!

So, I've used the new LEA stick on Saturday. Grabbed my Simfix Grosvenor 2-band and face-lathered it...

...and had a wonderful shave with it! I was not a fan of the former version of this stick (I would not recommend it to anyone), but this new version is very good! A nice shaving soap, and an extremely nice bargain at its price-point. For me, is at least, as good as the current production La Toja stick - although I prefer the scent of La Toja.
The scent of LEA is somewhat artificial, but I do not find it offensive. All in all, a nice addition to my rotation and a great alternative for when you are on the road.

This is the living proof that reformulations are not always for the worse - this LEA shaving stick improved greatly in this new version. :)

I agree, Emanuel. The new versions of Proraso are better than the old ones, too.
