So what size was your Savile Row silvertip and your particular Rooney 1/2 knot/loft and was the latter what you'd describe as scritchless and silky in the same way as it seems you're saying your older Blonde Badger is? When were the Rooney 2/1 and various Heritage XLs purchased?

Is there a reason nobody seams to get a Rooney 3/2? I'd think 24/48 would be a more popular size compared to a 22/44mm loft.

I don't remember exactly, but my Savile Row was HUGE. Not sure if they even make those anymore. I don't have the measurements for the Rooney 1/2, but it was scritchless. Not as dense as is the general preference, though. Don't know about the popularity of the 3/2, but I think smaller sizes tend to be more popular, at least in the past.
