    Default Lapping Film

All have been sold! If I have enough interest for 12 more sets, I'll order more. Each order will yield about 12 sets.

This is more of a group buy by me, not B&B, in that I'm buying a bunch more than I need and am selling the remainder at cost.

    This is coming from specialized.net

    Each kit will have 2 sheets of each;

    12
    9
    5
    3
    1
    .3

6 different grits, 12 total sheets.

Total to have these shipped will be $10.50. If you're ordering 2 sets, total will be $16.50

    These sheets are 9" x 6.5"

    Send payment to [email protected]

if anyone has any idea for a base plate, let me know. i thought about having some tiles cut up but for what it'd cost in shipping it'd not be worth it. I plan to use a hone I already own as the base.

I'm on board. Seriously no cheaper way to try out lapping films than this deal, and I've spent a while looking around at them. This here is Seraphim's thread about lapping film if you haven't ever seen it. Thank you so much!

Thanks for putting this together! I've had several sleepless nights this week trying to figure out how to get a good deal on some lapping film.

    Payment sent for 2 sets.

Late last might I made an impulse purchase on this granite surface plate to put my lapping film on:
    http://www.grizzly.com/products/6-x-...No-Ledge/G9647
With shipping, this came to $23 which isn't cheap for a starter kit, but it is supposed to be dead flat.
If lapping films aren't to my liking I guess I'll have a very, very flat paperweight.

I use a piece of polished stone tile from Lowes. Get the cheap one, it is marble or something, and is suitably flat. You can have it cut to 4x12 if you want too, 3 per tile.

The first two orders have been shipped. I've had some interest, but not quite enough yet to make a 3rd purchase. If you're interested let me know.

For that price, I don't think I can pass up on trying to learn to hone. So, I am a +1 interested party with a promise of buying.
