Default Yardley Citrus & Wood EDT

Last night at TJ Maxx, I saw Yardley Cirus & Wood EDT at a clearance price of $7.99, and so I figured that I would purchase blindly and take a chance. This morning is my first time wearing it, but so far, it seems to have a nicely crisp scent with notes of citrus and birch noticeable right away. I'll have to analyze the notes a bit more, but so far, I like it. Seems like an office sort of scent that is nice, crisp, and pleasant without an overpowering style.

As noted online and on the box...

"Yardley London Citrus & Wood has fresh top notes of bergamot and lime, a spicy sensual heart of poivre, birchwood and oakmoss, enhanced with warm base notes of sandalwood, amber and vetiver."

Sounds nice. And how can you go wrong at that price?

Oh nice score. I've read surprisingly high praise of it on Basenotes.com. Can't wait to try it myself.

I also purchased a bottle (the only one my Marshall's had, unfortunately). I wasn't sure what to expect but there's something very invigorating and inviting about the scent. My preferred cologne is TOBS Victorian Limes but this is definitely a good no. 2 and very nice for a spring/summer day. My only regret is that there weren't more of them at the shop.

Everyone always talks about the great scents they find at discounters. I have a Marshalls, Ross, and TJ Maxx by me but have yet to find a frag that interests me at any of them. Hopefully I will find my great deal one of these days (especially for $7.99!).

i looked around locally and couldn't find it, pulled the trigger at fragrancex for about $20/50ml. got to use it today, and must say, it's a lovely scent.

little little glass bottle, nice spray, great scent.

i'm 2 for 2 on my blind purchases so far. they were all recommended by others and their recommendations seem to be bang on.

This caught me off guard at first. I read it as $20 per ml.

Top notch stuff! For a blind buy to succeed at that price, it's a real coup!

It's a good scent. A lot like Terre d'Hermes, but a bit thinner and with less legs. Not a bad substitute if you are value minded.
    Best,
