    Default Odd Discoloration on my strop

    I am seeing an odd, greyish color appearing on the most used area of my Poor man Strop. Is this evidence of bad technique? The strop is only 3 months old, and I don't think I am rolling the edge or anything.

    Pictures? My guess is you are simply seeing a build-up of microscopic particles of the steel from your razor.
    Brian - I think it would be totally inappropriate for me to even contemplate what I am thinking about.

    Just tried to take some, but my camera sucks. Upon close inspection, it does look like particulate buildup. Should I clean the strop? If so, how?
