I like Tom's of Maine. The only drawback is the SLS, but it has great reviews on the Environmental Working Group Cosmetic Safety Database. It is now all that we use (fluoride free formulations). Check out the database for all your deodorants, moisturizers, sunscreens, toothpastes, etc.

    Morning my friend

OLd swiss tooth past, natural. Vademucum. Still around, and a very nice toothpaste.
Marvel in Italy does some nice mints, minty toothpaste.
Vademucum has been there for many years, very natural, No FLOURIDE.
I was surprised to see this.
I used to use this and recently found it.
I like the Marvis as well

    Nice day my friend

I use Burt's Bees. Has fluoride, but not SLS.
The only downside of this toothpaste is the container; it's sometimes really hard to flip open the top of it.

I've tried other natural toothpastes but I keep coming back to Burt's Bees. I won't use any toothpaste with SLS, so I don't use Toms.

An Xylitol based toothpaste has been my favorite for over 3 years. Not only can you buy the toothpaste with Xylitol/Fluoride combination but Xylitol does wonders for your teeth by preventing the cavity causing bacteria in your mouth from feeding and causing decay.

Personal favorite? Mine is the Epic brand of toothpaste, this stuff is only available online but you can also find more generic brands at nutrition stores.

They have at least one SLS free formula. My wife was using it for a while, and found it to be sweeter than most toothpastes.

Since I don't have flouridated water (and it's more effective anyway), I want toothpaste with flouride in it. There are very few choices that are SLS free with flouride.

I do have the same problem here. I want to use a fluoridated toothpaste, but it's not easy to find one with good ingredients in it. Xylitol is a must have.

Anyone here use fluoride tablets? The last time I took fluoride tablets was back in elementary school where I lived out in the country and our well water was not fluoridated but was heavy on calcium, which I think was a win when it comes to drinking and cooking. I was just wondering, since I think I should have fluoride to have a strong enamel. I suppose there's always fluoride mouthwash too.

I'll have to check out Burt's bees and some of these other brands too, and neem.

Fluoride is only good when applied on the teeth, and not by consuming it. Fluoride ion helps teeth to remineralize, therefore helping fighting tooth decay.

    Burt's and Tom's
Anything else "natural" I'd be careful to make sure it can actually clean your teeth.

All of the Jason brand toothpastes I've tried have been excellent.

I've always been a big fan of Tom's of Maine, as are many others who have posted here.

Since SLS can be obtained from coconut oil, how can you be sure that the SLS in Tom's is synthetic?

In the UK there is a herbal (I think also organic but I'm not sure) toothpaste called Euthymol. Not sure its available internationally.

Tom's of Maine used to have a number of great SLS/SLES free toothpastes, but they disappeared. They used to have great lemon-lime and fennel (tastes like black licorice, which I LOVE) flavored SLS/SLES free toothpastes, but they are no more. I don't know what happened. I guess they weren't selling well. The only one they have left is peppermint. I don't like peppermint.

Man, I really miss the fennel. I actually looked forward to brushing my teeth.
