+1, especially since the razor was perfected when the DE was made. What more is there to develop???

We are lucky enough to live in a place (USA) were we have the right to shave anyway we please.
I say go Gillette, make those billions.
For me, personally, I have nothing against Gillette's existence. I agree, go make money, help the economy, employ people. That's all great. But for me, Gillette is not my company of choice for grooming products. There product is sub-par AND more expensive. They win others over by ease of use, convenience, and availability. Those factors are not of value to me. If they are to others (and they clearly are based on the sales), good for them, and good for Gillette.

Ya know what? B&B needs a sticky. It should be entitled, "Proctor & Gamble owns Gillette AND The Art of Shaving." Why would Gillette, one subsidiary of a larger company, give two flying hoots about losing out to another subsidiary catering to traditional shaving? For one, that'll never happen because cartridges are here to stay. Secondly, even in the unlikely event that it did happen, so what? P&G will just make more money on their Art of Shaving products. In the end, the money all goes to the same pockets anyway. And I say GREAT! That's capitalism at it's finest! I don't use Gillette products (or Schick for that matter) but I hope they continue to prosper, and I have a feeling they will.

Luxury is the keyword, Gillette products aren't in this category. Moreover, I didn't figured anything, I found a picture.

I am quite honestly looking forward to buying 20 fusion blades every two years going forward (for head shaves). Screw P&G, modern Gillette and their feminzed groin-shaving ideal.
So, you have to be feminized to shave your groin? Hmm....glad I know where I stand.

A hundred million dollars will buy them a magnetized pyramid on Mars to research and manufacture the next Fused-Mach-Choo that will actually hold an edge after 4 shaves.

This is called a persona. Most companies use them.

Not going to happen. The human animal is naturally a lazy critter and will do as little as possible meet it's needs. That is the very thing made King Gillette big to begin with. He came up with an easier way to shave compared to using a straight razor.

Way too much. Once they do that, there is no point in developing any more carts. Then once their patents end, the money train is over. Look no further than DEs as an example of this. They had to come up with carts as convenience to get back into the market.

Today, I leaned a new word in the language of Shakespeare ''Groin''. It's funny because in the language of Molière a groin is a pig nose XD

Great post. I think that it is common sense that a company charge what the market will bear for a product. I read that at one time the Ford Expidition (big suv on full truck platform) plant was the single most profitable entity in history, worldwide, ever. The were selling an F150 for about 12,000 at the time and adding 1,500 or so to the cost to build each and getting 25-30,000. Something like that.

Gillette has it down to an art form. All there products are very good products. I'm glad they are successful. I won't be buying cartridges, but they have their place. They are selling shaving with a diminished learning curve.
