I miss my kitty so much. He died last year, but I had almost 13 years with him. I volunteer at the local shelter in the "cat colony" (which basically means it's a communal room where they live and play) but it's not the same as owning one.

    Here's my late kitteh:

The moment I find a cat as sweet and docile as he was, I'll adopt it immediately!

I hope you find the right cat soon. Actually, the right cat will find you. We have a black and white male cat that has adopted us. He comes inside each morning at about 4 or 5. He stays inside until dark, goes outside, and returns the next morning.

Heidi and Katie are sisters but I got Heidi first and she seemed lonely even amidst my company so I got her sister a week or so later and the two are inseparable never more than a few feet from each other even outside. Of course two very different personanlities and you can't do laundry around them or Katie will run off with it one piece at a time.

WAY cool kitties in this thread. :)

Here's my feline part of the menagerie.

Mickey is one reason I have so many typos. He likes to help.......

He also has 14 functioning and fully armed front toes. Seven per side. He can't stand the dog.

Here's Smokey, he's about the most laid back damn cat I've ever known. He is also unusual for a Siamese. He RARELY says anything and has a squeaky little voice.

THEN there is FREEWAY! She's the smallest of the three with the biggest attitude. Found her in a sanitary sewer on a road construction job. She was a wee tiny thing that would fit in my hand. She keeps the boys in line nowadays.

Freeway and Smokey owning the dog's bed and plotting against Mickey.. LOL
All I ask is a chance to prove that money can't make me happy.

Both were adopted almost a year ago from the North Shore Animal League on Long Island. They were six weeks old when we adopted them on June 11th, so we assume their birthday is May 1st. Both are little hellions when they want to be, and can be the most affectionate cats I've ever had when they feel like it.

Mooshi had an accident and got pinched in a door.so he has a sore on his side and I have to keep it covered while it heals. This was the only thing that works so far. How cute is he?

Poor Mooshi, but nice shirt. Never thought I'd see a cat allow someone to put a shirt on it.

It's a video rather than an image, but a pic doesn't do my cat's "uniqueness" justice.

I've found that rescue cats always come with a quirk or two.
