Default Boxers, Briefs, or Boxer-Briefs? Do you have a brand?

Throughout my teens + early 20s I was a briefs kind of guy and in the past few years I switched to boxers. Now i'm wanting the best of both worlds (so-to-speak) so I went to wal-mart and picked up some boxer-briefs for the first time. What have you all found to be most comfortable? I'm trying to switch my under-garments to the faded glory brand wal-mart has because i think their quality is actually better than hanes (which i previously thought was the best). Are you all fine with the department store brands or do you splurge on designer boxers and what not?

Boxers for me; Yves-Martin, but they're not fancy or anything.
I tried returning to briefs and boxer-briefs last year. It didn't work out.

Grew up in briefs then switched to boxer brief when I was 30. Recently went back to briefs. Tried boxers a couple of times, never liked them.

I prefer boxer briefs, specifically ones by Under Armour and Ex Officio. I got tired of the cheap brands in the multi-paks with their stretched out legs and the constant tugging problems. With both Under Armour and Ex Officio, I can hardly tell I'm wearing anything underneath. No more chafing, no more tugging, no more stretched out leg openings, no more creeping.

I have my little gripes about every style, but I find boxer-briefs the least objectionable.

I switched from briefs to boxers when I was 18 and haven't looked back. I am happy with Hanes, but I would like to see what designer boxers are all about.

I prefer boxers. Briefs and boxer briefs are just too tight.

For sports, boxer briefs. But I do wear boxers almost as often. Jockey is my # 1 pick for boxer-briefs. Good ol' Hanes Boxers from Wally's are fine, but I do hit up Banana Republic and Gap from time to time as well.

After I bought a couple of pairs of Ex Officio boxer briefs, I didn't want to wear anything else. They're that comfortable. I bought more and got rid of all my other underwear.

I switched to Boxers a few months ago to get more air flow. I've been using Duluth Trading Co.'s Buck Naked. They're made of super light, moisture wicking, something-or-other. You really don't know you have them on, most of the time. They make all three - briefs, boxers, and boxer-briefs.

As a boxer-brief guy I've tried everything from Calvin Kline to Hanes to Jocky; oddly enough, the best I've found to date are American Eagle. A little bit on the pricey side ($10 a pair) and missing a fly but still... Better than the rest. YMMV.

Boxers. Most anything that is all cotton, usually cheap. Toss them when the elastic loses its elastic qualities.

Whenever I hear "boxers or briefs?" I immediately think of the young lady who asked that question to President Clinton. Now say what you will about old Bill, but he had one of the best senses of humor of any president. He took it in stride (and answered briefs, I believe) but I think he missed a great opportunity. Had I, as president, been asked the same question, I would have said the following:

Some day, perhaps forty of fifty years from now, your granddaughter will be sitting on your knee, and she will ask you to tell the tale of the time you met the POTUS. When she asks "What did you say to him?", you can tell her you asked what kind of underwear he wore.
