Rod does beautiful work. I love the hand carved soapstone handles in the shape of a lion's head.

I agree and I will have a subjective point of reference in a short times wait.
The lions heads are on sale if I remember correctly. I love his pen work also.

speaking of Lions heads, they are on special. This is an amazing deal.
£25 ($38.75) of the proceeds from the sale of each brush goes direct to the widows and orphans of the village in Kenya where this soapstone is dug. They are extremely poor people who have virtually no income. £25 will feed a family for a month!
Just TEN of these magnificent Lion Head stone brushes are offered for sale,

This stone is quite hard and will not scratch in normal use.

I absolutely dig the scrolling star on the bottom. Pure aesthetic genius ! I am getting another one of
these at some point after I get some lathers in when mine arrives this week if customs can move things along already!
