Default Hi, and question on Posting

Hi, newbie here -- great Web site. Question...

I'm trying to determine which type / brand of blade to buy for my recently-acquired Taylor of Old Bond Street razor handle...which category should I use to post my query, along with the photo(s) of my Taylor equipment?

    Thanks.

For blades look in the safety razor site.

Post your pictures in either the general shave section or the safety razor site

There's a lot of reading to be done in those forums, and you will receive so many different opinions. Do you have a B&M store that you could go to to buy razors? That would be the easiest place to begin. I have a place close, so I'm lucky. They carry all kinds of stuff. I liked Derby blades at first, and when I get a new razor, that's the first blade that I try with them because the Derbys are cheap, sharp, yet forgiving. Once I'm used to the characteristics of my razors, I shave almost exclusively with Feathers. So, your taste and skill will evolve over time. Get a blade sampler from one of our wonderful vendor in the vendor forum, and try out different ones. You will feel the difference very quickly and find something that fits your beard/skin type. Make sure you read the tutorials at the top of the noob check in forum. Adopting the best practice pre-during-post shave will help tremendously.
Wishing I was back on the AT.
