Default The most $$ you've spent on a single brush?

Was wondering what was the most you guys have dished out on a single brush, and what brush was it that you spent the big bucks on? So far mine has been my Shavemac410 Silver Tip 23 mm knot which came out to be around $140 w/shipping.

My most expensive has been the current B&B LE'12,
RudyVey handle with a Shavemac DO1 knot.
That was $170, and I'm looking forward to receiving it around June .

    2nd most expensive was the B&B LE'09 @ $145.

    3rd place is the B&B LE'11, another RudyVey with a TGN knot @ $80.

Besides those three, none of my dozen or so other brushes have run me over $35,
and most of them were considerably less than that.

hard to say.. ::cough couch::: finest 3/3 ::: cough:::cough

let's just say that i'm happy to buy brushes on the bst rather than buying new. if i were to buy new i wouldn't be able to afford a lot of the brushes in my stable.

my top three brushes are finest 3/3, finest 1/1, and a 3XL. I love Rooney brushes. 40% of my brushes are Rooney. but they are expensive

Custom Rudy Vey in real ivory turned in the Persian Jar style with a 22mm silvertip knot. I will only say under $500 for Mr. Vey, for me priceless and the pride and joy of my shave den. Do not tell SWMBO as it would become a heirloom if she knew.

My only brush is a Thater stout 2 in silvertip for which I paid $155. However, it is worth every penny. Before that I had an old brush I got about twenty years ago from one of the department stores. It was an excellent brush that served me well, but it was getting rather threadbare (or should I say badgerhairbare?).

Rooney Heritage 3XL and Thäter 4125/3, 2-band. Both worth it.

Around $95 on a Milk Churn. I still think it was overpriced (like all Simpsons except the Commodore line) but I love it. It's small enough to maneuver around a soap bowl without making an enormous mess and it's a great little face-latherer.

A little over 300 on the Simpson M7 Manchurian. No it wasn't worth it. It's a good brush but I think the majority of that money went into the brand and "Manchurian".

My last brush was my most expensive, a Kent BK4 for $80 from feelunique.com. I'm down to four brushes that are my regulars with my Vulfix 404 mixed being the least expensive, $70 for my EJ super, $75 for my T&H silvertip Classic small (AKA Rooney 3/1), and lastly my Kent. The boars have all been shelved and I have no desire to acquire anymore brushes. I'm in brush heaven with these four. I use the T&H and Kent probably 60-70% of the time and the EJ and 404 the rest and that's only so they don't feel left out. The Semogue, Omega, and VdH now reside in the back of the cabinet but if I wanted to use a boar, it would be the VdH.

My three most expensive were a 56, Rover and Savile Row 3722, all around $100. The Rover is the only one I still own. While I love those LE Simpsons, $100 is pretty much my brush limit.

$60 on my Parker Silvertip. Love it for a softer feel...no regrets. I have 1 boar and 3 badgers (1 Pure, 1 Best, and 1 Silvertip). I like all 4, so I'm done! My money's going to more shave soaps (of which I've plenty, as well).
