Who do you think will be next years NFL power house team? Lots of big changes with free agency this year.

I think that a lot of the teams that were good this past season will be good again - Green Bay, Detroit, New England, Baltimore, San Francisco. I'll go with a couple of teams that were not good last year that I think will be good this year. The first one is the Philadelphia Eagles. They were coming together at the end of last season and management did a good job of retaining last year's group of players. They also addressed one of their biggest weaknesses by picking up DeMeco Ryans at linebacker. I think the Chicago Bears should be really good, too. They added a top five wide out in Brandon Marshall, Jay Cutler and Matt Forte will be healthy and they also added Michael Bush to spell Forte. Lastly, I think the Dallas Cowboys should be pretty good. This is year two under Garrett, they signed a good corner in Brandon Carr and Miles Austin and Dez Bryant should be healthy. They've also found a good running back in DeMarco Murray. And of course, out of the AFC, the Broncos... I'm really not sure about that, though.
Some other sleeper teams who I don't think will be contenders, but will be better: The Redskins weren't as awful as their record last year. They beat the Giants twice, played the Patriots close and the defense and running game were good. They're going to have RGIII (or maybe Andrew Luck) and they added some talented wide outs. Leonard Hankerson will be healthy, too. The St. Louis Rams will also be better, I think. They won the division in '10-'11, but tanked last year, because Hurricane Josh McDaniels ruined Sam Bradford and the offense. He's gone now. They have a high draft pick, too, so maybe Bradford will be throwing to Justin Blackmon. I think Buffalo has a chance to finish number two in the AFC behind the Patriots.
Packers will be better than ever.

As a diehard Niners fan, I sure hope Alex Smith becomes the new Peyton Manning. To be objective, I think the Eagles have a great chance of living up to the hype they had last year

Packers
The New Orleans Saints. IMHO, they have more reason than ever to play at the highest possible level to prove that in spite of the recent challenges and criticisms, that they're one of the best teams in the league. Spagnuolo has something to prove as the new DC, and Brees will be unstoppable. Other younger players will step up. They'll win the NFC South.

Nothing lasts forever...not even your troubles.
We are the least respected team in the country by a mile, even having the most productive rookie quarterback to ever play the game couldn't get us through the Tebow media blitz, but that won't matter come playoff time. Prepare for some Panther sightings.
It's a New(ton) (riv)era.

Wow. No love for the defending camps? Have you all finally come to realize what we Giants fans have known all along? That they pretty much suck and that any win is an aberation?
It will be interesting to see what the Bears can do if they stay healthy. Until Cutler went down last year, they seemed like one of the teams to beat in the NFC. Unfortunately, I also think the Eagles will finally live up to the hype.

I agree with you about Romo. I think this is a real make or break year for him. It's hard to justify dumping him, because his stats are good. And you, or Jerry Jones, at least, have to think, "Who can I get that's better?" And there aren't many quarterbacks that are better that are floating around. I don't know about Garrett. Haven't seen enough Cowboys' games. Don't agree about Pittsburgh. They are ancient.
It's too difficult in the salary cap era to repeat. Only New England has done it. The defending champ rarely even makes it back to the Super Bowl. The Giants haven't added much in the off season and lost Aaron Ross, Brandon Jacobs, Mario Manningham and probably some other players, as well. I think the three other NFC East teams will be much improved, so the division should be a real free for all.
They gotta get Tebow in there at EVERY POSITION and Rex Ryan at wide receiver. They got it for sure if they do that!
Do you say this as a pessimistic Cowboys' fan (Ft. Worth), or just a general assumption? I'd be totally happy if you're right, as I'm a fan of the Redskins.
I do think Romo takes too much blame. He didn't have that many Romos last year. The secondary broke down and Eli Manning (and other QBs) was able to light them up.
I just read that the Eagles lost their left tackle, Jason Peters, for next season. He was considered one of the best in the game.
I'm not sure what that does to their chances. On the positive side for them, they have several months to come up with a replacement player.

I gotta say it is surreal to see the lions in Salvador's list. The fact that they are even close to being in the conversation is weird.
