Question, on average how much is a Gillette single ring DE OC razor be worth? Serial #c210858. Case look decent on outside, the inside lining is ort of beat up. Please advise.

Hhaahah! Funny you should ask! Yes, but my wife is Filipina, so he does not need to shave much. He gets a little 'stache and a few scragglies around the chin. The rest is just a stray single hair here and there. He shaves maybe twice a week, and gets away with it in the Army. Maybe 3x a week when he's on duty.

But that said, Captp (where has he been?????) gifted him a Gillette Tech which I had replated. Then my son and I reknotted an old EverReady C40 handle with a TGN Silvertip. He likes the old C.O. Bigelow and KMF Cool Mint. Just for nostalgia's sake, I got him a minty looking Schick Injector circa early 1970's because that's what I started with in high school. But he loves the tech, he likes old stuff. We restore old military rifles, too.

Last time I was home he wandered in while I was shaving and was AMAZED that I actually do 3 passes. Amazed. After the second pass he felt my jaw and said, "Yep, you need 3 passes! I get 3 passes. In a week!"

hahaha, thats awesome, i have thick dark hair once i started shaving it was not in small patches, if he was in the cart world he would consider himself lucky,... but with all this stuff im sure he just prays for growth now lol,... although during his deployment he may not mind as much lol, three passes a week wouldnt be enough for me to get through all my gear enough, although would make for a quick straight Job if he ever goes that route lol

I used the Gillette Old Type 102 Single Ring paired with a SuperMax Sunrise Super Stainless blade. Needless to say, it was an outstanding shave!!

Used my first open comb razor. It was an GEM open comb Micromatic, and it was one of the best shaves I've ever had. It was one of the razors I got in a care package from my friend WoodfordReserve-Neat, and it also has a Goodwill and a NEW common bar in it, along with 2 closed bars. I've been interested in OCs for a good while now, and thanks to him, I think its time I join the ranks of the BOTOC!

A nice glass (or two) of chilled Sauvignon Blanc would go well with that!
