I read the great blade review thread and though I don't have your highest scorer's, I do have a variety to try out. From my understanding I should skip a few of them ;-)

Here are all the blades I have, your suggestions on what to put on the 1904 are welcome and appreciated:

    * No need to apologize and remember, no pressure is the most important thing. The 1904 is a very, very mild razor and should not be causing irritation.

*i would suggest the Gillette Yellows in with the 1904. Let us know how it progresses.

Smelling his pipes makes me feel at home even when I am having a bad day..that and his bottles of Aramis that I kept. My mother was going to throw the pipes and the bottles out! I only have 6 of his pipes and another multi stand and one of those pipe cleaning tools. My Grandmother threw many more away :( That would be really special if you would be willing to bring me or even direct me to a tobacco store!
For sure we are going. Ken has a much better nose and more refined palate (for God sake, I like Borkum Riff Cherry Cavendish), but I am sure we can match it pretty close.

There are a number of "old time" tobacconists still hand-blending in Illinois. Cherry blends (burley/cavendish/sometimes va) are pretty ubiquitous and I'm sure you can find something close (if not an exact match).

I use to prefer "hand blends" from many of the tobacco shops than many of the tins.....and do custom blends....was always nice!

Finally ordered a Fatip in chrome. Can't wait. We'll see how it compares to my R41 and 38C.

*Good luck with the FaTip. This is one BOTOC brother that did not get on with it.

Just wanted to say hello to the BOTOC members. I'm the newbie to the group. Hope all the fathers had a great dad's day. Oh and thought I would share some pics of my tools of the trade. A 1934 Red & Black DeLuxe, Tuckaway Type, 1937 Sheraton (which If I like may be going to get replated).

That is the 1934 Red & Black DeLuxe. It is a wonderful shaver for sure very efficient and smooth. Both This and the Tuckaway Type share the same head (flat on the bottom) My favorite 2. Still learning the Sheraton it's more aggressive than the 3 Piece for sure. Wish I could find some of older Gillette OC that were Nickel plated, not fond of the gold.
