Is there a thread or resource where I can learn about the two heads I just acquired? I think they are Gillette NEW long comb and short comb heads. They do not have the locator pins that go through the base, they look more like tech heads but with combs. Which should be more aggressive of the two.

Thanks for any info! Sorry to ask like this, but I just can't go through 4,000 posts to catch up to this. Any help would be appreciated.
If they don't have the pins, and look like a Tech with a comb, they are almost certainly NEWs. As to which is more aggressive, most people think the short comb is, but others disagree. I have a LC NEW but have never tried a SC NEW, so I can't say.

I don't find the LC NEW aggressive at all, but then again I love the FaTip, find it smoooooth, and a lot of people say it's a monster; so take my comments about aggression with a grain of salt.

Let us know how you like 'em.

And Alex comes through again! Thank you, sir! That's perfect.

Going to try them out on my BRW handle which I've been using with the DE89.

    I'm good to go!

Later edit: That was an awesome link, Alex!

Does anyone here know the difference between the Fatip Piccolo and Grande? I just ordered the Grande but I assume the Piccolo is pretty much the same except smaller? Would also be nice if anyone could give me some dimensions and maybe some razor porn to gloat at while I wait for the Fatip to get here

My Joris does me in 2 passes max, I sometimes can do 3 but 2 is just fine for me to let my skin recover for the next day.

I typically do three passes with the Fatip, and need only 2 with the R41....make sure you use a good sharp and smooth blade....don't use a cheap dull blade in this razor!

Gillette blacks, Personna reds, Gillette blues, Iridium Supers, all do well. BBS shaves and so smooth you will doubt you have a blade in your razor...

    Astras SP...Ok
    Lord Platinum....OK
Derby.....one of my least favorite blades, but does ok in the Fatip....

Gillette Yellow...even though sharp, feel rough
feathers.....some people love them in the Fatip....me...not a fan.
Supermax Super Platinum....one of my favorite blades...but NOT in the Fatip

I'll have to stock up some on blades then! I only have Feathers and Astra SP's in stock but I'll give them a try in the Fatip.

I do have some Dorco 301's but they are about as sharp as a butter knife

Well, as typical YMMV....you may love both the Astra and feather in your Fatip...both are good blades, and perform well in the Fatip, I just find other blades perform better!

I used a Astra Sp today in my fatip and got a nice shave..... I'm not saying not yo use the Astra, what I'm saying if those are your go to blades and if you don't like them in the Fatip...don't discard the Fatip...try a different blade!!

Agree with you. Used a blue med really irritated my face. Going to
try Gillette black or Asta Sp.

I finally shaved with my 1934 Aristocrat TTO OC last night. I would say it wasn't as "easy" as my NEW to dial it in, but once I got it, it was an amazing shave. May be a tad more aggressive than the NEW (can't tell if it was that or just me messing up the angle at times) but not in a bad way at all. May be my new favorite, and now I may be forced by my RAD to try one of the British TTO OCs.

These TTO OC's are dangerous! They will cause one of the most expensive kinds of RAD, the English Aristocrat kind! Enjoy, one of my all time favorites, in fact my 36' Aristo is locked an loaded in the bathroom before I saw this posting. Enjoy!
