The blades remind me too much of the blades I use for scraping paint off the windows?

I think that is what they were selling at the local pharmacy under their house brand name for SE shaving blades. I could have used box cutter blades and got as smooth a shave.

The GEM blades are PTFE coated just like DE blades. Was sharp as a Feather and smooth as a Astra

I've been off for a while. Just started some job training and are tired all the time. I shaved with the razor I thought to be a Merkur Travel OC once. It looks like the traveler, but the handle was in one piece. The razor felt really uncomfortable. Not agressive really, but uncomfortable.

I was unfaithful to the BOTOC for a couple off shaves last week. I picked up a Yuma from a Türkish market in town and man that is a nice little shaver! It felt good to go back to the NEW though!

I got worried when I used a used blade to scrape something. Made me really nervous to realize I had used it to shave with the day before!

After I convinced Ralph that I was through with my guard razor experiments, I knew he left my house talking about being tired of unfaithful members!

I'm glad to see Ralph got all the dye from his trip to the hairstylist with April out finally. Poor guy looked rough for awhile. I guess he really needed that break in the Scottish Highlands.

One post about Buffalo Trace Bourbon and look what happens.

I grew up in Miami and my preferred spirit is rum. One great thing about Miami was the variety of rum that was available when I lived there. Sooooo much rum so little time...

Oh... And we don't discriminate whisky based upon it's country of origin.... Even though Johnnie and I have preference for Fine Scottish single malt....two fingers of a Irish whisky pored over a single cube, with a splash of water to release it's flavor while shaving somehow seems very rat pack to me.... I could see Dean Martin loading up his favorite razor now, whisky in one hand razor in the other!!!

Just kidding about the bourbon. As a Hoosier living close to KY I do hear and see too much about bourbon drinkers though. There are a few I will drink, but given the choice it is either Irish or Scotch. Got my PTFE coated blades today and tomorrow it will be my 1912 with a new blade. Whoo hoooo.

Is this what is known as a Frankenrazor? I only looked at the handle which I think is a New and did not pay attention to the head.

Yep. You look up frankenrazor in the wiki, you'll find a picture of your razor! LOL, I bet it's a good shave, just not the correct head for that handle, or handle for that head.

Ahh you're making me all weepy eyed for a good glass of Jack. I seem to remember a photo of Dean or Frank with a bottle of Jack. Oh well time for the single barrel....

No Chupacabra will be coming for Ralph as he is a highly trained and motivated GYRENE. OOH RAH!!!

Back when Ralph was in 'Nam he had took down an three squads of those native Chupacabra. Cannot go into detail, as it is still classified, but he is the only Goat in Marine Corp History to win the Congressional Medal Of Honor.

If I was that Chupacabra, I would be scared, very scared.
