I use the Sandalwood and Sienna soaps and enjoy them both. The best almond cream on the market was the C&S Sweet Almond Oil which was dropped when the company fell on hard times about 2 years ago. They have refocused on marketing and have decided that bring new products to the market, with short life cycles and high markups, is the future of the company. Don't expect to see much in the men's line.

I have both C & E Sandalwood and Nomad and I like them both. They are an exceptional bargain for the price. You can't go wrong with either. Give them both a sniff and pick the one you like the best

Both are in my standard soap rotation.

Since the soaps tend to be hard to lather according to some..are the creams the way to go perhaps? Do they have the same performance?

I use C&E Sweet Almond Oil soap and C&E Sandalwood cream. Of these two I would say that the cream lathers more easily. Takes less work, but then that is the nature of creams.

Well here's food for thought: Apple IPhones and IPads are made in China. But Apples main Head is in America.

With that being said is this soap American or English?

I didn't care for it. I thought the lather was way off par with the other soaps I had.
The fragrances are top notch and I really wanted to like them, but didn't.

I use all three creams -- can't get the Sienna cream in the States, but I got some from a vendor in the UK. I like the Sandalwood and Nomad better in the winter, Sienna more in the summer.

Iphones are made in China and C&E soaps are made in Great Britain.

I have very much enjoyed C&E's shaving soaps. They are not the last word in shaving, certainly, but they work very well and are quite pleasant. I particularly like the Nomad, which always reminds me of freshly cut grass with a bite to it. Don't know how to describe it other than that, but it's great! I cannot say I cared for the Sandalwood scent at all, but as with everything it's YMMV. The Nomad cream is very good too.

I've got a puck of Nomad and it's pretty good actually. It's got a good smell to it and it performs well for me.

Ok so first of all I just want to state that I've only been wets having for about 2 weeks.

With that being said holy cow is this soap nice! I had no problems at all getting it to lather! It just kept going and growing. And I'm no lather expert, but this was easy. I loaded for 30 secs and had enough lather for at least 4 passes. Lather was nice, thick, and rich. Smells wonderful. I really want to find a cologne to match it. It's my favorite thus far.

FOr me, it's lathers nicer than my Mystic Waters, and GF Trumpers. and my skin does feel nice after. But I've only used it once so far so maybe too early to tell.

I tried a puck of the sandalwood this morning for the first time. I was going to bowl lather with it until I noticed my brush tore through it like hot butter and decided to go straight to my face with it. I liked the smell, slickness, and ease of lather. It performed well and will definitely do it again. Thanks smooth_shaver as it was a part of the mystery dopp bag from a few weeks back.

I find C&E to be very hard (and the salesman commented how long pucks last) so I find that it really benefits from a teaspoon of warm water left on the surface for a minute or two followed by lathering with a boar brush. Like others have mentioned, it's not brilliant but not too bad either and the spread of C&E shops around the world means it is one of the easiest "luxury" soaps there is to find in an actual retail store just about anywhere.

"Woody, aromatic Nomad scent of ginger it also has notes of refreshing citron and green bamboo. The fragrance is an exotic mélange of Malaysian teak and Indian sandalwood and clove from Zanzibar."

I've used the Sandalwood and liked it. I never had any issues getting good lather out of it. I did however find it was ever so slightly lacking in the moisturizing department. I can get a refill puck for $8-$9 locally. It's hard to argue that price.

I treat this soap like most people treat Williams.. I soak it in hot water while I'm in the shower, then I lather right on the puck. It's so hard and cheap, that really, it's still going to last forever. Took me two years to use up a puck of Nomad, and that was probably using it 2 or 3 times a week. Right now working on Sienna. Love the scent. I trimmed the edge so I could get it to fit into one of those Appothecary style mugs. The Sandalwood is my least favorite, for some reason I don't think the lather is quite as good as the Nomad and Sienna. Their shaving cream was nice too but it burned my face :-(
