PIPE RX: pipe repair, restoration & maintenance...

Hope about a thread dedicated to all things pipe repair, restoration & maintenance, a place to come for advice and a place to post before & after photos of your reworked pipes.
 
Two "new" pipe arrived today from the bay, one no name from London, England (very Dunhillish) and one Fortnum's Windward, both are in pretty good shape, just a bit of stem oxidation, here's a before and after shot...

they turned out pretty nice IMO, the bird's eye on the Windward is amazing, and it looks like it may have smoked only a couple times if that...
 
Here's a couple shots of an Aristocob I got recently which arrived with a poorly fitting rig job of a stem so I re-fitted it with a new orange marbled acrylic stem, these are a little different than a regular Mortise and tenon friction fit, this requires a groove that a rubber O-ring rides in on the tenon form an air tight seal, the originals only have one O-ring but I put two on mine (Mr. Overkill :wink2:)...
