  1. Default Kai razor blades

Hey guys, didn't really know where to put this. I just got my last shave out of my current Feather blade, left me a little bloody. I have a few different packs of blades and I decided to try one of my Kai blades. Anyone ever use these? Thanks!

I've used a couple (and still have a two or three in my stash). My overall impression was that they're very sharp (almost Feather sharp) but a little on the rough side...I'd compare the sharpness to an Astra SP but not as smooth as an Astra. I should try one again soon and see if my opinion has changed, since it's been a while. At the premium price that they sell for, I didn't think they were worth it.

I think they're very good blades. While I didn't find Kais any better, they were possibly equal to the Feathers I almost always use. But they cost at least 2X what I pay for the Feathers. I'd pay a premium if they were better, but they're not, so I haven't bought any more.

Whoa guys, this may not apply to everyone, but I am extremely impressed by these blades. Definitely sharper than the Feather I had in last and smoother to boot. No pressure needed anywhere and I had only one weeper on my moustache. Nearly BBS everywhere. Got them in a sampler pack so I don't know the cost of them normally, but if they are anywhere near as cheap as most of the other blades, I'll be picking up more.

My impression of the KAI has been this: Feather's sharpness + Personna Lab's smoothness = KAI
Having said that, they are pretty pricey for DE blades but it's nice to have a small stash of them for occasional use. With the variety of blades available, there's a lot of characteristics to toy with with each razor/blade combo.

I used them exclusively for a while when I first started out. They're pretty nice blades. The first shave feels a little rough sometimes.

I bought them from B&B member Aneurysm (Jeremy), so the price wasn't that outrageous. He probably still sells them; search for his selling thread in the Vendor Forum.

    This..

I bought some over a year ago and use one once a month maybe.

I just remember the sting of the cost not the smoothness of the shave.

When I bought them they were only loose and not in packs. I think I got mine from NTguys. I see since I bought mine they are available in packages now. If they are the exact same blade I would definitely buy some more when mine are gone. Not a lot though. Too $$$.

The Kai"s that I've got, the mild's, are very nice to use, and the shave is great.
