...so I live in a house with a number of other people, and only one bathroom. I often get complaints...usually something like, "Why do you take so long in the bathroom?"...well, with a bit of inspiration from a few B and B threads, I decided to make a stand of sorts...
...a few days ago, I was reading a thread in which a member here was talking about shaving while on extended camping trips. It got me thinking. So today, I threw together a little shave kit, filled a 2 quart pitcher with water, and found an old tin bucket that came from a green pepper planter. I went outside, and shaved. It was nice. The birds in the background, the slight breeze. Peaceful. There were a few downsides though: 1) The mirror; I used the one that comes in the Weishi case...it was a little too small. 2) I used palmolive, but didnt use enough water for the first pass, so I got some of that chunky stuff stuck in the razor (not the end of the world, mind you, but still...) 3) My brush; I used the little AOS brush that came with my free sample kit, and its just too floppy for a face lather with a stick of palmolive. I may try a similar set up tomorrow, only in my room. What would be great is one of those sets, with the basin, pitcher, and large mirror, that you see a lot in antique stores...
...anyway, a great shave. My standard BBS, with just a tad irritation on my neck line...oh well...
