Is it just me, or is this forum becoming a catch all? Today I see posts on watches, books and gentlemens essentials.

I also see a post about the site in the Speakeasy forum instead of the Site Feedback forum. What is this place coming to?!

Well, it wasn't intended as site feedback, but as a request for comment from the users of this forum. I would only go to the feedback section if others agreed.

If you see an off-topic post or thread, click the triangle on the bottom left to report it. A mod will move it to a more appropriate section.

The Speakeasy originally WAS a catch all aside from The Barber Shop before all of the other sub forums existed. This forum usually catches stuff until it gets popular enough to create a sub forum. Tobacco, fountain pens, clothing etc all used to be discussed here.

I think watches normally are discussed in the haberdashery though, so like Go West said, if you see something that clearly should be somewhere else, report it.

Well, I just noticed that the report box says it is only to be used for certain catagories, and off topic posts is not one of them.

I was also wondering about the bowtie and watch threads being misplaced...

Uh huh.... well.. could you possibly tell me why my pet unicorn developed such a disdain for the vanilla pods all of a sudden?

You need to wash your hands more carefully after handling the baby minotaurs - Their natural oils can be transferred from your hands onto the unicorn's feed. (And we all know what unicorns think of anthrocentric chimaerae...)

Come to think of it, my Leprechaun, Shamus, exhibited the same unsettling behavior before he ran away.

When I see a thread that looks out of place, I use a technique I like to call NaturalPassItBy(tm).

I wander if baby minotaurs (or unicorns for that matter) carry Salmonella? This thread is starting to exhibit signs of silliness.

It's cool - clicking that box just pops an alert up in the Mod Forum. As I understand it, the first Mod to finish his martini and cigar when an alert comes in can hop in and assist in any way needed. Picture the Bat Signal, but for a room full of James Bonds.

Gentlemanly essentials not covered by other specific forums belong here. And if you want to blame someone for the book discussion being here, that's solely my doing.
