Default A couple drops of glycerin saved a soap with a great scent but was a poor performer..

I have always loved the scent and lather that Cade creates, and have given it several chances to prove itself a good performer and a place in my rotation, but every time I revisited it, it always came up short. I like to blade buff, and always would get irritation and skipping, and even some small nicks or cuts with Cade, something I never get with Mama Bears and QCS. I was really bummed that I couldn't make the Cade work for me, and as a last ditch effort I put two (2) drops of glycerin in my mixing bowl when I created my lather and was stunned by the results. Not only was I able to blade buff without ANY issues, I got a shave as close, and probably closer than I have been getting with my other go to creams and soaps. I was even able to go against the grain on my chin just under my lip, an area that notoriously gets irritated if I go against the grain here, and usually just go with and across in this spot. I also feel like my skin is softer hours after the shave.

This may be a total placebo effect, and I will have to try it out consistently for a week or so to see if the results are consistent. But if it IS consistent, it's pretty amazing what only 2 tiny drops in your lather can do!

I don't think the placebo effect makes much difference when the blade is not skipping. I love to do the same with other poor preformers, or make an urberlather with it.
I could probably load Tabac on a Q-tip and still get a decent lather
