I'm pretty loyal to Lab Series Multi-Action face wash. It has those micro beads that creates a really nice lather so only a small dab will do. It's a bit pricey at $18.00 for a 3.4 ounce tube but again just a dab will do.

Think I've had mine for about a year and use it everyday when I shower.

I use a Neutrogena transparent facial bar. Just as mentioned before: it works well and it's cheap.

I use this too, and have been using it for about a year and a half now. Its a fantastic face wash. Over here in the UK Boots quite often has the Lab Series on 3 for 2 which works out at around £12 a tube.

Either Neutrogena Transparent Facial Bar or Pear's Pure and Gentle (bought at an Indian grocery store). Both work equally well-I know the new Pear's has a complete reformulation and is nothing like the old all-natural version I remember my mom stocking the bathroom with in the 70s and 80s. Similar to Neutrogena in both performance and ingredients profile-brand new bar smells a bit harsh but fades a bit. These work really well for me as a pre-shave too; I guess the glycerine leaves the face nice and slick.

Grandma's Pure Lye soap. I haven't used anything else for that last 7 years, and I continue to be impressed with the results.

I use Cetaphil as a facial soap, mostly to prevent pimples. It's cheap and seems to be good although I question whether daily application of antibiotic is effective or even good for my skin.

The Cetaphil bar soap comes in two versions, one with triclosan (antibacterial) and one without.

I usually use a Palmolive stick on my face while in the shower and it is my first step in good prep!
I even use a shaving brush and lather it on good and thick. Then I rinse it off under the shower and rub on a pre-shave!

Another recomendation is Zirh Clean face wash. Picked up a bottle of this at my local TJ Maxx for $6.00 the other day and it's pretty good. Lathers up nicely and has a light lemon scent. Always been a fan of Zirh.

I use Musgo Real Glyce Lyme, Pears soaps (this has been around for over 200 years but was reformulated a few years back) and Neutrogena clear. Barclay Crocker has an excellent selection of all types of soaps and they are extremely helpful. I also used Kirk's Castile soap which is another soap that has been around for generations.

It's going to depend on what type of skin you have, but for me, the best facial cleanser that I have ever used is Purpose Gentle Cleansing Wash. I have used almost everything on the market: all Cetaphil cleansers (liquid and bar), Basis (liquid and bar), Neutrogena (I can think of at least five different ones right now), both Cerave cleansers, the Purpose bar soap, products by Zirh, Dove beauty bar, probably a lot of other stuff, as well. Again, of all the products that I have used on my very oily skin, Purpose Gentle Cleansing Wash is the best. It is not an exfoliant. It won't treat acne. But it will remove dirt and oil effectively.

My only caveat is that I have heard that it can be drying for people with dry to very dry skin. For me, it is the best.

Jack Black Daily Facial Cleanser or if you want some exfoliation (2-4 times a week) the Energizing Face Buff is amazing! Both about $20ish, vegan friendly all that good stuff. I love them both, but YMMV.

I have never used it but i hear hydrolast's cubes are a good race soap and pre shave tool.

I'm really liking the Nivea Daily Cleanser for sensitive skin....feels nice and clean while not killing my skin. I've been using it for about a week now. After cleaning, pat dry the face...apply a little Thayers witch hazel with aloe...finish it off with some Nivea moisturizing gel. I'm enjoying the Nivea for Men line.

So, when I went into L'Occitane the other day to pick up deodorant I saw a shea butter face bar. I figured why not? My face gets a bit dry after washing. It was about $10 and its a decent size too. I've used it a few times now and I think I have a new favorite. It's actually less drying than Neutrogena's transparent bar and it smells great.

I use L'Occitane shea butter milk soap for my face. Cleans well but doesn't dry out my face at all. I bring a small bar with me on trips away and use it for washing my hair and sometimes shaving too if I don't want to bring lots of stuff with me. Lathers up very nicely and no sulfates.
