    Default New Forumula Proraso Availability?

Does anyone know when the new Proraso will be available in the U.S.? I'd like to give it a try. I've never used the old Proraso due to the SLS. I know the new stuff has a similar chemical but I'm hoping it won't cause the same problems that Sodium Lauryl Sulfate caused.

There is a guy on ebay (maguires.barbershop) out of the UK that is selling some now. Some of the stuff is in stock while other items are pre-orders. I've ordered from this seller before (not Proraso, though), and it took about 3 weeks to get my order to the USA. No idea when the stuff actually lands here at US Vendors.

Ask Marco, he received some samples, he may know when it will be available in the US.

I asked Proraso about the Sandalwood, but I bet you could use this. http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthr...aso-Sandalwood

Foyle, what did the sodium lauryl sulfate do to you when you used cream/soap that contained it ? I ask because I may have a problem with that chemical myself.

Personally, it does nothing to my face. It seems to be the cause of the eczema on m hands I suffered from high school to my senior year of college.

It dries my skin out. Soap containing it makes my hands itch and shampoo containing it makes my scalp itch. I find that products containing it dry my face out too much. Clearly it's something that my skin doesn't like so I just stay away from it whenever possible.

Connaught has the new formulation of some of the Proraso items up for sale atm. Just noticed then.

So what's up with the new line? I hope it's better than the old line, it never worked very well for me.

No parabens (I couldn't care less about that), no sodium lauryl sulfate but it has a similar chemical. Marco reports it's an excellent product, possibly one of the few cases where reformulation was actually an improvement.

Looks like I might have to give Proraso another whirl.

For the vast majority, it is not bad for skin, as gazillions of cosmetic products have it. For some, it is an irritant and/or dries skin. For others, SLS is a no-go as a matter of principle, as they prefer natural ingredients (even though SLS can be derived from coconut oil). Only strop using Proraso if it irritates your skin.

I recieved an email for itailianbarber.com this morning saying they had it and checked it out. I've dealt with that website before and was very pleased (where I bought most of my stuff when I first started.)
