Wimcad - I was on this list and took my name off (see above comment). I've used a scuttle for a week now, and YES, if you like warm water shaving it is worth it. It will be months before you get this one. My advice, go ahead and order it so you'll have it for that cold Tenn. winter...if it's not for you - they sell fast on the B/S/T.

Been using this for the past week and a half. I am really liking the idea of the scuttle, but this one is a little small. I have trouble building a lather with some of my larger brushes. The largest brush I own is an SOC, so I would think some of the larger high-end badgers may have the same issue. This morning, I face lathered with the SOC and used the scuttle as a brush scuttle and I still enjoyed warm lather on each pass. I will finish out this week and move it along. Then I will begin researching other models with a slightly larger bowl before winter sets in.

I've been cartridge shaving since before I needed to shave (would sneak into the bathroom and use my big brother's razor just to feel older), and only recently discovered DE shaving and getting back to the basics. It would be a great honor to try a scuttle to see how I might like it. Thanks for this great PIF.

PS... Living in New Orleans, the scuttle will be well entertained during its stay. Maybe the timing will work out to arrive sometime during the beginning of Feburary.

Couldn't hurt. Heck, Feb 3 is the Superbowl, Feb 12 is Mardi Gras. The only way that could be any better is if the Saints are playing and I'm using a scuttle.

That's what I do - float my soup-bowl mug in the hot water as I fill the sink. With some hot water in the bowl after that it makes warm lather.

I would very much like to try a scuttle, so count me in. I've been playing with floating my lathering dish in a sink of hot water for a while and like how that works, so the scuttle should be even better.
