The head geometry looks very much like the Weber, just w/o the DLC coating. Also the slim handle looks like the Weber to me.

Yes, the Mariner head + Bob's Razor Works Improved handle = The Claw. It's a wonderful combination, actually.
Nice review, Cod! Will be interested to hear your impressions after you've lived with it for a while.

Yes its called the Futur, and its no competition. The Futur is way more aggressive and a great shaver.

I took my time today and completed my standard 4-pass shave in my usual time frame. Everything else regarding prep, soap/cream, brush, water temperature, pressure (none) and angle were standard, too.
I have to say I like this razor. BBS at the end. I even tested for irritation in the same way I did in my R41 review (Booster's followed by Tagac cologne). No irritation. None at all.
The Mariner is easy to use and very effective, IMO. It does not give me a sense of blade flex, like the R41 does. It's just solid and substantial in my hands and feels very natural. The resulting shave quality is top-notch!
It may not have the elegance of a Mühle razor, but it does have a certain steampunk flare. It certainly is a solid performer.
I'll do a shave #3 post tomorrow, and save further posts until my 30-day review.

OK, I'm about ready to order..... Need to look at the Weber.
Gents, the OP is looking for input regarding this particular razor.
If you have experience ith this razor and would like to comment in as far as its aggressiveness when compared to the Future or the R41 please do so.
It's kind of childish to compare this razor to another if you have not tried this razor, the comparison is useless and has no value.
