what's your next brush ?

I have a couple of Simpson Dukes arriving, hopefully next week. They are two Duke 2 Best with custom laser engraving on the bottom of the handle. One brush has my name "Marco", the other has my son's name "Joey". My friend Mark Watterson personally prepared these twins for me.

I also recently won a Rod Neep Lions Head silvertip which is also in transit.


I am looking forward to trying these two new brushes out when they arrive. I also have a couple of old handles that I want to restore, can we say SBAD. Yes we can!

I am seriously, seriously trying to keep myself from ordering a doppleganger of this brush, in either best or finest. Not quite sure what handle material I would like though. If, or should I say "when", I do end up getting this brush, I will most likely end up getting it from Mr. Vey.

YES! I love this brush, I'd like to get one in Amboyna Burl, Afzelia Burl, or Coolibah Eucalyptus burl with a Finest knot. Maybe when I get set up in a career I will, but for a broke college student, this would be a bad financial judgement at the moment.

I really love my Plisson size 12 entry level (i.e., pure badger) so I want a HMW at some point.

Were you able to find specs on this? Loft? Knot? Etc.. It's a really nice looking brush, ever since you first posted it I've seen a number of mentions and it's tugging on my AD!

I ordered an Antique EW size 10, looking forward to receive it in a few days!

Ok guys, I received the brush, sent it back to Plisson the next, the European White was not white, but more of greyish color, and density quite low. I discussed with another Reseller (because plisson never answered any of my questions) and he told me that the size 10 currently available is really not the one to buy if you want a EW today, better select the size 12, better density, whiter hair and two band... So maybe I'll take one from the reseller which was really nice, but never again directly from plisson. To be completely fair with plisson, they did refund the full amount with shipping, without a question. My weakness is that I love the ew antique!... In the meantime, i got a davinci 293 a few days ago, and i am waiting for a shavemac d01 2band, ordered yesterday, already shipped!
