Pretty much everything I drank my freshman year of college.

I'll skip the standard rot gut everyone has heard of, Mad Dog 20/20, Kamchatcha Vodka and the like, but most people haven't heard of this one. At Butler, there was this beer only sold at a drug store down the street from my house, Brigade, $6 for a 30 pack, it would take the enamel off your teeth.

I actually bought a bottle of Loch Dhu when it first came out. Unbelievably vile. Ironically a collector's item now, as it was so bad it became infamous.

Jack Daniel's. That stuff tastes like the charcoal it was filtered in -- rough to say the least.

MD 20/20 gets second place because the first time I drank it (and the last) I had a rough attack of gout in my feet!

Third place goes to some cheap 17 per cent alcohol (yeah, I checked the bottle) wine my brother had at his wedding. I may as well have been drinking JD whiskey straight with the taste of that stuff!!!

Never had it, but the name alone makes me shudder.

Dark Eyes Vodka. Even the name implies you're just asking for a hangover.

Pearl was advertised as being "from the country of 1100 springs", and Hamm's was "from the land of sky blue waters".

Beer - Lord Chesterfield ale; even in college I couldn't drink this. Also a local 'brewery' that makes carbonated dishwater.
Malt liquor (sorry, I was in college) - Steel Reserve
Tequila - Tequila Zapata (really? you are naming it after a shoe?)

    I have never met a whisky I didn't like.

Oh god, slivovitz. I had forgotten about that stuff. It smells absolutely divine, but DON'T BE FOOLED! That. Stuff. Is. VILE. That, and any tequila. I can drink vodka, rum, whiskey, scotch, or nearly anything under the sun straight. But a shot of tequila and I will heave like the most seasick person on the planet. Tequila is the distilled urine of Lucifer the Morning Star. But I looooooooooooooooove vodka.

For what it's worth, I felt similarly after buying a bottle of the 7yo stuff with the eagle on the bottle. It wasn't until several months later that I discovered it was actually quite drinkable - in the right glass. I had been trying to sip it from a shotglass or schnapps glass and it seemed like paint stripper - but when I put it in a whiskey glass it settled down considerably.

I don't think I'll ever buy a refill, but I don't think I'll be throwing it out either.

Ten High bourbon was not/is not fit to mix with Coke. Absolutely terrible. Also, Dark Eyes Vodka. Kentucky does not produce quality vodka. Surprise.

I don't drink any more, but during my drinking years I managed to swallow some pretty miserable stuff. One of the worst that comes to mind is Maotai; not only did this taste like what I imagined avgas would taste like, but I had to pound it down during endless rounds of "kampai" toasts, during business fests in Asia.

I had some pretty good 'shine years ago, but only tried it because I trusted the source. Some of the basement grown stuff over the years - slivovitz, pisco, grappa and some friend's gandpa's wine - were pretty deadly. Unfortunately in most instances I had to have at least one, in order not to hurt someone's feelings.

Worst ever .... a couple come to mind. One was some mead made by a friend. The other was some blended Whiskey from Canada, name escapes me, but after one drink it went down the drain. Both were utterly ghastly.

All the stuff that tried to pass for booze in the bars in Okinawa when I was in the Marines. You order a scotch and water and no telling what you'd get, but it usually didn't taste quite like scotch.

While I like Yuengling's Lord Chesterfield, I have to agree with you on Zapata tequila. We bought a bottle to make margarita's with and then had the brilliant idea to do a bunch of shots of it. Now I've never tasted gasoline, but I imagine it can't taste a whole lot worse than shoe tequila.

Whoever mentioned Tequiza by AB, I heard you loud and clear. Yuck!

Surprisingly, I have to add Bombay Sapphire to the list. Most likely it is because I don't like gin, but seeing as BS is the only gin I've had I can't go into too much detail.
