Do you mean you've been shaving with the one blade for 8 months or you've been using German Wilkinson's Sword blades for 8 months?

The blade alone, all by itself, isn't why (at least not IMO). The careful application of a full preparation each time, the quality of the razor that the blade is in, etc - - those and still more all are factors when you find a particular blade is lasting longer for you than usual.

(I have forgotten where the Walmart stores' Wilkinson blades are coming from these days. Are they German?)

I find the Wilks to be pretty good blades.

Well I got nine this morning but the shave wasn't as comfortable, some dragging, less pleasure but still a good outcome. I binned the blade but it's changed my mindset which was three shaves and out. As I say the eighth was fine, comfortable and good result. I have stuck a store brand generic persona in to see how that compares. Hope I get a weeks worth.

...I then switched to a Tesco Personna, and just got shave number seven.

Could have done more shaves as still felt comfortable but started to feel a bit rougher than normal on the neck this evening so suspect the effectiveness has slipped. Blade binned and new blade planned for tomorrow but seven days is acceptable, as in the case of these blades it would cost about £9.00 for a years shave at superstore prices.

I have one Feather so I will try that from tomorrow, my belief is that I won't get a full week ?
Fad has vanished but shave will be great forever. Thanks to lessons learned at B&B !

...didnt switch to the Feather, but to a Shark Super Stainless. Day five today and very uncomfortable in that no longer really sharp enough. So up to now Shark SS 5 days, Tesco Personna 7, Wilkies German White Box 9.....all with good near BBS shaves. My solitary feather gets its turn from tommorow !
